WIFW Fall 2013 RTW : Day 5 : Nida Mahmood, Rehane and Manish Arora
The final day of Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Day 5 ended with collections from Nida Mahmood, Rehane and Manish Arora. Manish Arora had shown the same collection at Paris Fashion Week earlier in the month, but it was great to see the collection in India as well.
An eccentric collection from Nida Mahmood featured symmteric prints, velvet trousers, two tone shirts and leather with studs! All separates in this collection are so beautiful and very wearable individually, at the very least. I love the yellow and blue handkerchief dress. The finale was a cool steam punk like gown with tablets telling the time. But I’m glad the avant garde was restricted to one garment.
Rehane’s collection featured mainly dresses but the sheer saree stole the show. A nude coloured saree with floral applique and satin borders really looked very elegant. I hope there is more see at Lakme Fashion Week show next week!
Manish Arora’s collection was also shown at Paris Fashion Week earlier in March but that certainly didn’t stop this collection from garnering hype and excitement! The tribal focus on clothes was very apparent from the prints. But the styling was very modern. You had brights, neons, psychedelic prints and sequins in the mix! The finale outfits with the sequins gleaming looks very stunning.
