I wanted a try a few more Inglot products because I was super impressed with the eyeshadows. These test tube like Sleeks lip glosses really caught my eye because they had so many colours and shimmers. I picked this bright orange one since I don’t really have a colour like this.
Inglot Sleeks Lip Gloss in 45 is bright orange, slightly muted and packed with gold and orange shimmer. The shimmer is very dense and very much noticeable! I love the colour in the tube, but on me it didn’t translate well.
The pigmentation is not great, it’s sheer which would be fine but it’s very difficult to build it up because it applies very uneven. For the most part it looks like a tint...
I wanted to try L’occitane hair products a few months back. I picked the L’occitane Volumizing Conditioner which I think is from the Aromachologie range.
Firstly, this is a very gentle and mild conditioner meant for fine and normal hair. If you have very thick and dense hair it might seem like you need too much of this product to make it work. I say that because I have fine hair and even I feel like the need to use more conditioner than I usually do.
The conditioner is white in colour and lotion like in consistency. It’s thinner than your average conditioner. This has a very pleasant fragrance which a bit citrusy and minty. I do like that a lot!
This does condition hair...
I wish this week would be over already! It’s only Tuesday and I feel like it’s been 10 days since I got a break! Really feel like going away somewhere!
I’m not too excited about this product. I sure was when I bought it. It was early days when I started using makeup and I wanted a bunch of neutral colours. I think this palette from Bourjois was also priced at Rs. 650 at the time. It’s gone up to Rs. 845 now.
Bourjois Smokey Eyes Trio in Lady Vert De Gris is a taupey brown shade. These are actually perfect colours for a smokey eye if you like taupes. But the eyeshadows, I’m not too fond of. These are the baked variety, one I’ve always had a problem with....
Winter is here and I’m so pleased! Boots, scarves, sweaters can now be flaunted! ^_^
Well that has nothing to do with my review here but I’m just excited! It’s quite odd to review masks because really, how can you measure how much of a difference a mask makes? I’ll try to be as detailed as I can.
The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask is obviously targeted towards lazy people like me who’d like cleansing, exfoliation and moisturizing to be done all in one! This one smells like honey and cereal but for some reason I wasn’t too fond of it. It isn’t bad or unpleasant, but I just didn’t find it very appealing.
This has a creamy...
TGIF! I’m so looking forward to this weekend to just chill and unwind! I planning interiors for my new room and I’m getting lost with all the choices!
This is an old purchase, so I’m glad the shelf life is 36 months! Milani makes amazing liners for a great price and I bought the Easyliner Glitter Eyeliner in Purple Quartz. The colour is purple with silver glitter. There’s the chunkier silver glitter which can be spotted easily and also the subtle fuchsia/violet shimmer in it as well. The colour is really pretty and bright. It’s nice to wear it on it’s own to give a pop of colour.
The pigmentation is good but not the best I’ve seen. You need to go...
Maybelline relaunched the Colossal Kajal a while back. I’m not sure if the formula is entirely new but they claim that it lasts 12+ hours, is smudge proof and water proof! Let’s see about that!
I had actually never used the Colossal Kajal before. I know, shocking! I always had Lakme, some other Maybelline one but once I found perfection in my Mac Technakohl Liner, I didn’t really look for any others.
The Colossal Kajal is very soft and creamy to apply. You kinda have to be careful to not break it while applying! The colour is a very intense black and overall I’m happy with the consistency. Being a kohl, it is safe to use on the waterline which I also liked. This does...
Happy Independence Day! No, I didn’t get up super early but the loud speakers did wake me up.
Today I’ll be reviewing Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion in Indian Rose & Marigold. It’s a very light lotion as the name says, not ideal for winters if you have very dry skin. But it’s great to use for summers when you want something light that will absorb quickly.
The consistency is really light but not runny. You need about 2-3 pumps to cover your face and neck with this.
It has a mild rose scent that’s also very nice. My only peeve with this is that it doesn’t really last as long. Generally, after 3 hours I feel the bits around my lips getting a bit dry...
I’m having a lovely cup of tea and the weather outside is just perfect. Sometimes all you want is a refreshing beverage, a nice candle and something to focus on. It’s been a productive Sunday so far! Anyway, today I’ll be reviewing a water based make up remover. Yes, one of those.
Before I start, I should mention that the packaging of this product might have changed. When I was looking for links to buy this I saw a different one. So the product might be the same but the packaging and labelling has changed.
Caudalie’s Cleansing Water is a very gentle makeup remover which can is also eye safe and removes makeup quite easily. What I like best about this is that it...
Hey guys! So, today I’m reviewing a very niche product and one that I’m still on the fence about. It’s The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz. It’s basically a face mist but it’s meant to make your skin more dewy and radiant.
I feel that this is product that will work only on certain skintype and climate combinations. I’ll explain my experience below. So I initially bought this in winters when my skin would dry out very often. I’d spray this and it would instantly feel very fresh and dewy. There would be almost like a film on this over your skin which also made it very smooth. After a while it would disappear though. This also has aloe vera...
Today I’m reviewing a very popular lipstick in the Indian market, Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in Thrilling Pink. I doubt you’ll find a blog without a review on this! It has a lot of favourable reviews but I found my experience with these lipsticks very mixed.
Thrilling Pink is a medium bright pink. It gives a very soft look and it’s a very wearable pink. It looks very warm in the tube and when I swatch it but for some reason it looks more cool toned on my lips!
I first tried this in the winters when my lips weren’t in the best shape. I found this to be too drying and it accentuated the lines and problem areas even if I wore a moisturiser. I was disappointed and...
Glitter Liners are one product that I rarely use but everytime I see a good one, I need to have it. Perhaps it’s the inner child in me who has outgrown sparkles!
I bought Stila’s glitter eye liner in sea green a long time ago and I love this colour. Mainly because it’s sort of duochrome with aqua and turquoise mixed together with a clear base. The glitter varies from green, blues to purples and looks amazing.
But the problem is that it isn’t very dense and you need to apply atleast 3-4 times over the same area to get a dense even look. Apart from that, it doesn’t smudge or fall out and spread.
It stays on well for 4-5 hours. If you love experimenting with...
Hey guys, today I’ll be reviewing another lip product, Khuraira Luscious Lips. It’s a lip gloss and unfortunately, I have no idea what shade it is. It doesn’t say so on the packaging or any of the material I received.
The colour is a light brownish pink with a lot of silver shimmer. The shimmer is very dense and fine.
This lip gloss is more creamy than liquid like. It glides on almost like a film and you can wear it sheer so that you can see your natural lip colour through, or build it up for an opaque look. I think the brown can make you look too mature so I like wearing this sheer. It adds more warmth to the lips and almost a warmer MLBB like shade.
So today, I’m reviewing something I haven’t really featured on my blog before, lip creams. They are like a mash between a lip gloss and lipstick where they are opaque and thick but give a glossy finish. I never intended on purchasing this, I got it free with a StrawberryNet haul. Don’t you just love the free gifts they give?
Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss comes in a lot of shades and I picked Euphoria after seeing some swatches online. It’s a dark berry plum shade which I don’t have and it looked great in the reviews.
The consistency of this medium thick, it doesn’t feel gloopy, just a bit more weighty than normal gloss. The application of this is great....
Hello people, I’m back with a nail polish review. It’s from my favourite brand Zoya. Is everyone enjoying the monsoons. Although what’s happening in Uttarkhand is terrible and I hope your friends and family are safe. I had visited Mussorie a few months back and it was really lovely.
I had seen Zoya Amminah in a lot of swatches but somehow always deferred buying it. It has this iridescent sheen that looks so lovely and subtle. When I finally got it, it was neutral colour I could wear often but I’m not too happy with the quality.
Amminah is a a sheer milky white polish with a violet iridescent sheen. It looks so subtle and lovely. It’s a very feminine polish that...
A couple months ago I received some sample products from Khuraira. I also got a lipstick which I’ll be reviewing today.
The color Lady Obama (nice name!) is a colour which I normally wouldn’t wear. But the colour is gorgeous and while it might look too mature at times, you need to find the right amount and occasion to pull it off!
It’s a coppery brown in a frosty metallic finish. That describes it to the T. It has a lot of minute gold shimmer but it gives a very foil like finish.
It’s very pigmented. With one swipe you get about medium coverage and you need 2-3 more to get that foil like look. It glides easily but if you have dry lips, it will be difficult to...
