Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow

Bourjois Cream Blush in Healthy Glow

This is such a cute product! It’s the famous little round pot but now it houses a cream blush! Bourjois launched four shades in their Cream Blush range. I’m reviewing the shade 02 Healthy Glow. It’s a light peachy apricot colour. It tends to look a little bit more peachy pink on the skin and there’s also very subtle gold shimmer running through it. I find that the shimmer is more apparent in heavy swatches but not so much after your blend it. The colour is something that will suit both cool and warm skintones but might not show up as easily on deeper ones. But it gives a really nice peachy colour which looks very natural. It’s also a sheer blush which makes...

BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

Every month I rotate makeup in my “daily use” section so I actually end up using the lot. Last month I got a lot of wear from this neglected eyeshadow duo. BareMinerals eyeshadows, particularly the READY range are raved about everywhere. So, when there was a nifty discount on FeelUnique, I grabbed this. The BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes is a two eyeshadow palette with the shades Page Six and Most Requested. Page Six is a warm baby pink with fine gold shimmer. It’s pigmented but not as much as Most Requested. In comparison, it feels just a tiny bit chalky, it’s not as buttery smooth as the other one. This definitely looks like a frost...

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

The marketing behind this product is so intriguing with the world “miracle” and “recovery” thrown around a lot. It’s sets up high expectations! Around last year, I was looking for a face oil to incorporate in my skincare routine. I tried the Nuxe multi-use oil but it broke me out on my face. I just use it for my hair and other dry patches now. I decided to give Kiehl’s a try for the first time! Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a face serum or facial oil (whichever term you prefer) which claims to give you smooth, supple hydrated skin overnight. On that claim, it does come through but it won’t magically get rid of every spot or blemish...

L’oreal Shine Caresse Lip Gloss in Lolita

L’oreal Shine Caresse Lip Gloss in Lolita

Hey guys! Here’s a nice nude lip gloss! I got swept up in the hype of this being a YSL Glossy Stain dupe and promptly picked it up from Myntra.com! The L’oreal Shine Caresse Lip Gloss range is more like lip stains with a glossy finish. The shade Lolita is dusty mauvy pink. How this looks on your lips can change a bit because it’s sheer and your lip colour does show through. It looks more cool toned in the tube but it’s a very warm pink which is even better for Indian skintones. For me, it gives a sheer wash of colour and appears as a warm pink, very close MLBB shade. I also detected very subtle gold shimmer but it’s very fine. This particular shade is sheer...

L’occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm

L’occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm

From the vast sea of lip balms one has, sometimes you just need heavy duty stuff. That’s exactly what the L’occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm is for me. I have dry lips in general, even more so the winter and with sun exposure they sometimes also get very irritated along the edges. This lip balm works well to combat that keep them really well moisturised. This suits my skin type/condition really well but it is a very very thick consistency. But it’s also very soft, you have to be careful while applying, too much pressure and you might break the stick. It feels very soft on the lips but looks a bit waxy and more matte than shiny. You do get that heavy creamy feeling on the lips...

Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter

Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter

Here’s a skincare review for you! Sephora India is here and one of the benefits is Soap & Glory. Of course, I’m not in Delhi and I haven’t visited Sephora there yet, but get my drift… Soap & Glory is a brand of good products and witty retro names! I picked up The Righteous Body Butter from MedPlusBeauty when it was available there. This is very very thick cream. In comparison to the Bath & Body Works Triple Moisture or The Body Shop Body Butters, this feels more potent. Warning, this is a product meant for very dry skin. For those of you who have oily skin, while it’s hydrating this might feel too greasy for you unless you plan on using this only at...

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Coral Crush

Hey guys! I had a very hectic week and now I’m just looking forward to relaxing and blogging this weekend! Also, Happy Women’s Day! At the very least we get to enjoy sales on this Saturday. I did a tiny bit of shopping on FeelUnique since they’re having 15% discount store wide! ^_^ Rimmel have  a nice range of moderately priced nail polishes. This one is from the 60 Seconds line and called Coral Crush. It’s a really nice colour for summer! As the name suggests, Coral Crush is a mix of pink and orange, a good coral shade. It feels slightly duochrome as it shifts between a few shades of orange and pink depending on the lighting. It’s also a bit pearlescent which...

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

I first heard about this product on Lisa Eldridge’s skincare video and my hunt for a water based makeup remover started there. In general, up until last year I was using the usual oil and water combo makeup removers. But I hated that oily residue that was left behind, I always had to wash my face after using even a tiny bit. It became only worse when it came to correcting makeup, that little area of oiliness left behind. I think Caudalie’s Cleansing Water was the first water based one I tried. I loved how it felt but it didn’t remove makeup as efficiently as Bioderma. Bioderma Sensibio H2O is a micellar water solution developed specially for sensitive skin. It’s very...

Essie For The Twill Of It Nail Polish

Hey guys! I’m in Jaipur at the moment for the Jaipur Literature Festival. Looking forward to todays session by Amartya Sen, it’s going to be an eventful day! Essie For the Twill Of It is from it’s collection of the same name. Came out this fall and I just loved it after seeing swatches on other blogs. I bought this last month and I’ve been loving it a lot! Essie For The Twill Of It is a metallic colour shifting nail polish. The base colour is a murky brown shade but it appears more grey. Also, depending on the light, it will shift between a pink, mauve, gray and teal shade. It’s an exact dupe of OPI Peace & Love & OPI. (comparison here.) It has a...

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Ultimate Beige

I have a new holy grail nude!! I feel like I’ve been on a lipstick craze lately and it needs to stop! It all started with this YSL lipstick and umm… kind of spiralled out of control there onwards! So today I’m reviewing the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in the shade Ultimate Beige or no. 3. It’s also sometimes called ‘Silky Sensual Radiant’. But anyway, Rouge Volupte is the range of creamy, very pigmented lipsticks. Ultimate Beige is a really pretty pinky brown colour. It looks more peachy brown when you swatch it but definitely more pink on the lips. In comparison to other lipsticks (see photo below), Maybelline My Mahogany is close but more peachy, Lakme...

Soap & Glory Scrub ‘Em and Leave ‘Em Body Buff

Soap & Glory Scrub ‘Em and Leave ‘Em Body Buff

Soap & Glory has for a long time been a brand I’ve wanted to try. It’s available in Sephora India (which is only in Delhi) but luckily some online shops do carry it as well! The Soap & Glory Scrub ‘Em and Leave ‘Em Body Buff is like a body scrub. It smells amazing, a sweet citrusy scent which isn’t too overwhelming. The texture of the scrub is quite good. It has the salt like particles which make up the most content. It has tiny pink bead like granules and there is a certain amount of oil in it as well. It’s also sort of held together by the oil and isn’t a loose scrub. When you apply it, it doesn’t feel drying at all. The scrub...

Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lip Color in Coffee Command

Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lip Color in Coffee Command

One of Lakme’s best launches this year was the 9 to 5 Stylist range meant for office going peeps. The Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lip Color are a range of matte lipsticks in the nude, browns, pinks and red realm of colours. Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lip Color in Coffee Command is a really pretty peachy brown shade. It might seem like a MLBB shade for Indian skintones and pigmented lips, but it’s a tad bit more peachy. This is the first MLBB shade I have which doesn’t have a hint of pink. The peachy tone looks gorgeous on warmer skintones though. This is very pigmented and creamy. One swipe is good enough. There’s also no shimmer, some of the 9 to 5 shades do though. I like the...

Nails Inc Special Effects Sprinkles Nail Polish in Sweets Way

Nails Inc Special Effects Sprinkles Nail Polish in Sweets Way

The word sprinkles just makes me feel happy. Over cakes, over cupcakes, over ice cream. Heck, I’d just sell icing and sprinkles if I ever opened a shop! That’s pretty much what this nail polish feels like. Your nails looks like they’re covered in sprinkles and you just want to eat them! This isn’t the most mature nail polish, I’ll admit that. But it’s cute nonetheless. Nails Inc Special Effects Sprinkles is a range of glittery polishes. Although “sprinkles” might lead you to believe that it’s chunky or 3d, it’s not, just round shaped glitter unlike caviar nails which are tiny tiny sprinkle like balls. The shade Sweets Way is a mix...

Sigma Cherry Apple Blush

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I was out all day but I ate a lot of cake at the end of the day!  ^_^ I love brushes from Sigma but I never really looked into their makeup products. The Creme De Couture collection came out and I was sold. This is one of the three blushes from the collection. You can see rest of the collection and swatches here. The blush Cherry Apple is a really flattering peachy pink shade. On the pan it looks more like a deep coral pink but when you swatch it, the colour is a tinge lighter. Out of the three blushes, this one suits me the most and is definitely flattering on all skin tones. It’s a matte powder blush but it gives a very natural flush and the...

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes in Denim Blue

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes in Denim Blue

I’ve never really used anything from Jordana and I was gifted this eye pencil. Always a good way to try a new brand! I feel like Jordana is pretty similar to Milani but a bit cheaper. A lot of their products look the same this one is very similar overall to the Milani Easyliners. Ofcourse, the only difference is that this one is only $1.99! Jordana Easyliner For Eyes in Denim Blue is a dark blue colour. It has a black base and is unlike many other dark blues which are navy and have a green base. I’d also describe it as a sapphire blue. But they do have 3 or 4 more blues in this range if you prefer others! It’s very creamy and applies with ease, glides smoothly over the...
