Hello all! Today, I’m reviewing the Match Perfection Ultra Creamy Compact Powder from Rimmel in the shade Soft Beige. I bought this in combination with the Match Perfection Foundation. They compliment in each other and the shade is a good enough match for me as well.
There aren’t too many shades to choose from and people with darker skintones might unfortunately, have trouble finding a match. The closest shade I got is Soft Beige. It isn’t an exact match but it blends well into my skin and looks even.
What I love most about this powder, is the texture. The powder isn’t rough or chalky, it feels very smooth and buttery. It similar to Mac Foundation Fix Plus powders....

On this site I’ve confessed my love for Bath and Body Works many times. I’ve been using their body lotions for more than a year now and every time I like trying out a different scent. Why have so many, it’s incredibly hard to choose!
Well, today I’m reviewing the Twilight Woods Body Lotion.
At first I thought the scent would be woody and mild but I was surprised to get a very wild forest kind of scent. What on earth is wild forest you ask? Sweet, floral, fruity… put yourself in Avatar’s Pandora and imagine what it might feel like…
Something of the sort.
The quality of the body lotion is so good. It gets absorbed quickly and doesn’t leave any...

Hope you all had a good weekend! I just saw Star Trek and I loved it! Today, I’m reviewing an item that’s been in my skincare routine for the last 2-3 months. And I can’t do without it!
La Roche-Posay is a french skincare brand and have a lot of products for treating various skin imperfections. Now there is a lot of confusion over what the products exactly do. You see, there are three Effaclar products and they work well together or separately as you require. I’ll try to explain the difference between them all in brief below -
1. Effaclar A.I. – The AI stands for anti-imperfection. It’s a targeted spot treatment cream for breakouts and acne. So when you...

This is a post about how excitement induced by the sight of glitter, can overcome logic and reason. You’ll have to see the photos to know what I mean.
I first came across the Superglass collection on Temptalia’s site. And it was like love at first sight. I remembered seeing these on StrawberryNet and so I lurched for them! It was on discount, I took it as a sign from the universe and bought it promptly in the shades Fab Frenzy and Totally Bang!
Now that the story’s ended, let me rave about this lip gloss a little more.
This is not the best lip gloss in terms of consistency and there are some parts of the finish that I do not like. But, I haven’t come across...

Chambor’s Stay-On Waterproof Eyeliner was one I received from a Blisscovered Box a very long time ago. It’s one of my favourite navy eyeliners!
It’s your average pencil eyeliner. The pigmentation is good but you don’t get the complete deal with one stroke, you do need to build it up a bit. I didn’t find this to be the softest eyeliner I’ve used but it is still smooth and you can put it on with relative ease without needing to tug or pull. I however, didn’t find it as smooth to glide on as some of the others I’ve used.
The colour is a true navy blue and really lovely. It gives a nice change of colour without being too in your face. It looks...

I have really really dry skin. Throughout winter, this product saved my skin from flaking.
Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense is a white gel/cream kind of moisturiser. The consistency is really interesting. It looks like cream but feels like a gel. It feels really cool against the skin. It isn’t too thick but I would say medium. It gets absorbed fairly quickly and you don’t need a large amount. If you apply too much at can look a bit oily till it gets fully absorbed.
In the end, your face feels nice and dewy if you don’t put too much. However, this is a cream I absolutely cannot bear to wear in summers because it ends up being too much except maybe on days when...

Today, I’ll be sharing with you one of my treasure trove purchases! You see, for the vast majority of my life I’ve been a person who only wore silver or black nail polish. No, I wasn’t a goth but I did like my black polish and clung to it with my dear life!
Now I was very intrigued by Zoya as I had just heard a lot about the brand and was on a major hauling spree (bad!). I saw this particular one and it just called out to me! It’s such a pretty bright blue! Robyn also happens to be my very first blue nail polish!
I had never tried Zoya before and I was very nervous about how it would turn out. The formulation is excellent! No streaking, it spreads evenly. It’s...

This winter I had more than one best friend and it was The Body Shop Hemp Lip Conditioner! I actually had two of these. One was in purse which was with me all the time I was out and one was at home.
What I like about this lip balm is that it’s thick and feels like you have petroleum jelly on you without looking gloopy or too shiny. It’s not a thin consistency like the lip butters but thicker. It’s incredibly moisturizing and keeps the dryness away! If you get really dry and irritated lips (especially the edges) like I do, the minute you out this on, you get instant relief!
I will say however, this is not a complete solution to dryness. If you have chapped lips, it will...

Hello folks! It just struck me that some of my most used products rarely make it to my favourites list; like the makeup remover, topcoat etc. Need to remember that for next month!
I will be running out of this soon and I thought I’d better write a review on this soon! I took the photos long back so that you can see the product.
H2o is brand that seems to have flooded all the online shopping sites and this was my first purchase from the brand. The Dual Action eye makeup remover is like any other oil and water remover. I had previously used a similar one from No.7 and found it to be very efficient.
This one is great if you have sensitive eyes. It’s very gentle and you don’t...

When it comes to Colorbar nail polishes, you sometimes find a few duds but the ones with a lot of shimmer are certainly not one of them!
Crystal Calm is really hard to describe mainly because it doesn’t fall under gold or silver. It’s definitely somewhere in between. I’d say it’s a pale gold with dense silver microshimmer. It looks really gorgeous against any skintone and I’m really loving it. This colour is also great for festive wear or night outs when you want more bling.
It has a foil like effect and very high shine to it because the shimmer is so fine and dense. I love the finish and it reflects so much light that there’s a sparkle to it.
This lasted...

Essie makes some of the best polishes especially when it comes to creamy finishes. I was on the hunt for a perfect lilac nail polish and it came to a spot when I spotted this one!
Essie Lilacism is that perfect lilac which, as the name suggests, isn’t too pink nor too blue.
The formula is great, it glides on easily. It does not apply streakily or form bubbles in any way. The consistency is very creamy but not too thick or runny.
I did find that this isn’t last on me as long as the other Essie polishes I’ve tried. It stayed on well for about 4 days and the tipwear was more frequent that usual. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t as good as I’ve come to expect...

Hello folks! I’ve been sick for almost an entire week and a real busy time at work and as a result neglected my blog quite a bit this month. but my schedule’s clearing up and I feel well rested and charged!
So a few weeks back I got the Maybelline Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liquid Liner from the PR company. (That is seriously one heck of a long name).
It’s a ranged coloured liquid liners and I’ll be reviewing the one in the shade Tangerine Orange!
I don’t own anything this bright, it puts all the bright orange lipsticks to shame! It’s a gorgeous true orange colour. It’s more yellow then orange and shows up real nice on the skin.
The handle is very...

Trax is one of Mac’s unique eye shadows. I’m sure Urban Decay has something comparable but I’m in love with this colour and the sheen.
Trax is a yellow based medium purple but with gold microshimmer. The shimmer is a bit chunkier than usual and not so subtle when you use it. It gives a lovely duochrome sort of effect when you wear it on lids. Part purple, part gold and part browny purple.
It goes on the lid very smoothly. However, this isn’t the most pigmented shade. I think it works far better when you use can eye base or primer underneath. When compared to other good Mac eyeshadows, pigmentation is where this falls short.
The colour blends well. You can use this...

Once upon a time, I took a plunge into the high end makeup world and fished this out of the pool! I wanted a good and unique coloured lipstick and was very impressed with the Chanel Rogue Allure satin lipstick that everyone was raving about.
I came across the shade Coquette and I fell in love with it. This is possibly the only true pink like shade I own. It looks darker in the tube, but in when worn its a true pink but slightly coral kinda shade. It also had fuchsia microshimmer that it makes it truely unique. While the lipstick a warm pink, the shimmer is a cool toned fuchsia and that makes it a great combination.
The Rouge Allure range is for satin finish lipsticks. It has a huge colour...

I rarely go for very high end nail polishes. I’m quite happy in my China Glaze, OPI, Zoya circle. But when I saw the Nars Orgasm nail polish shade, I knew I hadn’t seen this shade anywhere and I desperately wanted it!
The colour as I said, has incredible depth and is very pretty indeed. It’s a soft peachy pink with gold microshimmer and sheen. The shimmer isn’t dense which gives it the delicate gold sheen sort of look. The polish itself its sheer so you can add one coat for just a subtle pink and gold look. If you add more, you get an opaque finish with a lovely peachy coral shade.
I love staring at this for the shimmer. If you don’t already know, I cannot...
