Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten

I’m back with another Kissable Balm Stain review! I reviewed it in the shade Honey a few days back and I like this one just as much! Today’s review is the shade Smitten and umm… I was say the clique… I am smitten with it.  It’s one of the more pigmented shades in the range. It looks like a really dark plum in the tube but it’s a bright plum pink. It’s definitely cool toned and looks way brighter than the usual plums. What I like about the shade is that it isn’t a neon colour, it will look good on all skintones too. The consistency of this is thin and very balm like. But it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the lips. It glides really well...

China Glaze High Hopes Nail Polish

China Glaze High Hopes Nail Polish

I’m so glad it’s the weekend!! I’m working on Saturdays as well and I miss that extra holiday. :/ But there’s always blogging and my readers to look forward to on the weekends! Today I’m reviewing a really pretty polish for summers, China Glaze High Hopes. It’s from their Up and Away collection. I had bought this along with Lemon Fizz. I really need to wear this more often now! I really love the colour. This is what I call a true coral. But for the most part, it’s a coral that veers more towards pink rather than orange. I think it’s a shade that will look good against all skintones as well. It’s bright and eye catching, but not...

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Perfume

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Perfume

This was a very impulsive purchase for me. But it smells so amazing, I couldn’t not get it! I went into Parcos because I wanted to take a look at Rimmel, but I ended up buying only this. Narciso Rodriguez For Her comes in two types. The light pink bottle is is the Eau de Parfum, which is the concentrated one. I bought the Eau the Toilette because it’s still very strong and it was cheaper. How do I describe this scent… it’s definitely a scent for night time and special occasions. It has that floral, honey and slightly woody mix without being too much of either. I feel it’s very well balanced that way. It has top notes of honey, heart notes of amber and base...

Mac Fast Play Lipstick

Mac Fast Play Lipstick

Hello kittens! I was visiting the Mac store for what seemed like the n-th time!! I was hoping they had Crosswires in stock (which they still don’t). Oh well, I’ll try again soon. Anywho, I went in to buy bright lipsticks and came out with Fast Play instead. I have to say, it was better use of my money because this is a lipstick I wore everyday for quite a while. Fast Play has the honour of falling into the “office appropriate” category! This is an amplified creme lipstick which means it’s thick and creamy but feels very light weight on the lips. It’s also very moisturising, your lips don’t feel dry at all. I love the formula of this. It can overtime...

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish

I’ve had a big life change in the past week and I’m quite excited about it! I’m a bit sad for the people for I will but I’ve had incredible times with them and I’m anxious for the future. Now that that’s off my chest, let’s talk about the eye liner at hand! Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner is one of the best eyeliners I’ve had. It’s incredibly soft and of really good quality and pigmentation. The colour Lionfish is a metallic medium brown which has a touch of bronze. The gold microshimmer is very fine and doesn’t feel rough at all. It’s all nicely packed and there is absolutely no fall out. The colour is...

Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW40

Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW40

The studio sculpt concealer was the first Mac concealer I ever purchased and I’ve used it a lot! Before I start the review, I should mention a bit about where I need to conceal. I have different levels of discolouration on the sides of my nose (near the tear duct) and a bit under the eye. The one on my nose is a much darker colour than the rest of my skin and so concealing is really a 2-step (sometimes 3) process for me. This concealer in particular I use for the darker one. I then usually layer on a concealer that is of my skintone to make it even and as flawless as possible. So, the Studio Sculpt range from Mac is a medium to heavy coverage concealer. This is cream concealer and...

Nars Lovejoy Blush

Nars Lovejoy Blush

On one of my starwberryNet hauls, I picked  up the Nars blush Lovejoy. It was colour I didn’t have and I was anxious to see how it would turn out. I love blushes that have microshimmer in them, ones with a nice sheen. Matte blushes (many of them) look quite powdery on me and ones with sheen I can get away with a nice subtle colour. Lovejoy is brick red but still orange can of colour. Another way of describing it would be red brown but with fine gold microshimmer. It casts a really nice and subtle gold sheen. The colour shows up on the skin as a deeper pink but on paler skintones it would look much warmer. The blush is really pigmented. I have a tendency to gravitate towards sheer...

Mac Woodwinked Eye Shadow

Mac Woodwinked Eye Shadow

Mac’s eye shadows are some of the best and this one is one of my most used eye shadows as well. Woodwinked (such an adorable name) is a medium brown with gold microshimmer. The microshimmer is finely milled and the eye shadow is very smooth to apply. This colour is great for crease and well as an overall lid colour if you are going for natural or bronzey looks. When you see it against the light, the gold sheen is really strong but indoors it will appear true to its brown shade. This is a very easy colour to blend, it’s a good neutralizer if you are using bolder colours like olive greens, teals, purples or deep pinks. For Indian festive looks, it’s a great colour to use as...

Mango.com Haul and Shopping Review

Mango.com Haul and Shopping Review

I recently hauled form Mango.com and I thought I’d share my experience with you! I was actually going through majorbrands.com but they didn’t have everything I wanted in stock so I looked to the main website. What I Hauled  I got a mint green top a sheer top panel. A beige rectangular mini satchel bag. A black suede-like pump with rose gold metal on the toe. MANGO.COM So you get free delivery to India if you purchase more than Rs. 6500 otherwise you have to pay Rs.790 (approximately) for shipping. Why so much? Because they ship it from Spain! I had no idea! I only realised it when they sent me a DHL tracking number, which intrigued me and saw the origin was Barcelona. Still,...

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

Winter’s almost ending and it seems funny that now is the time I start reviewing those products. This hand cream is still in use though. L’occitane’s skincare products are amazing. They smell amazing and I love the texture of their creams. The shea butter hand cream is one of the staple L’occitane products. It keeps your hands moisturized and with a mild jasmine scent. What I like the most of this cream is how quickly it gets absorbed. It isn’t greasy or sticky. It has a medium thick whipped cream like texture. I find the packaging adorable though! It looks to dainty and vintage. The little plastic cap with hard edges is easy to put on and off, especially after...

Inglot 414 Pearl Eye Shadow

Inglot 414 Pearl Eye Shadow

I purchased my first Inglot eye shadows 4-5 months back and they are so incredible! It’s like having a cheaper Mac with delivery in India. 414 is a pearl eye shadow in a dark forest green with a dark drown undertone. It has a emerald green sheen to it. It looks so good on brown eyes, it’s the perfect green to make a smokey brown and green look. For special occasions, it’s a beautiful colour to use. I bet this would look amazing on all skintones, especially Indian. The texture of the eye shadow is very buttery smooth. It’s glides on very smoothly and rarely needs tugging. It’s very pigmented, and the colour transfers from pan to lid with very good pay off. It...

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15 in Pure Honey

On this blog, I generally tend to mention the better products that I use. Rarely do I find a holy grail product that I KNOW I will repurchase. This is certainly one of them! With all the hype about mineral foundations, I was eager to try one. For day time, the liquid foundation routine is at times very long and I end up skipping on it. All over the blogosphere I had heard great reviews about this product. So when it was on sale at StrawberryNet, I took a chance and grabbed this! Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation is a loose and finely milled powder. For those who might now know, mineral powder is made from crushed minerals. Compared to liquid or pressed powder makeup, it has fewer...

Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Nail Polish in Really Rosy

Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Nail Polish in Really Rosy

First off, I get so confused with Maybelline’s different ranges of nail polish. They all look the same packaging wise but the formula differs so much. The Forever Strong Pro line has amazing formula but unfortunately I couldn’t find this in any Indian online store. I had bought this colour from boots and I simply love it. Really Rosy is one of the most wearable pinks for skintones like mine. It’s a warm-toned bright magenta pink but slightly muted. It’s not so-bright-it-hurts my eyes but a very soothing pink. I rarely wear pinks on my hands but this one I use the most. It’s a good dupe for OPI Grand Canyon. The polish is thick in consistency and very creamy. I...

Maybelline Colorsensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Brick Rose

Maybelline Colorsensational Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Brick Rose

I’m very shy when it comes to red lipsticks. After finding my perfect cooled toned red (Revlon True Red), I was on the hunt for a darker red  . Not a vampy one necessarily, just a darker one. I stumbled upon Brick Rose on another blog with a review and I fell in love with it. It’s perfect for a medium deep skintone like mine. I think it’s especially beautiful on darker skintones but the quality is unmatched except by a select few. Brick Rose is an apt name for the color. It certainly is a brick like red with a warm-toned dark appearance. It doesn’t look too bright and clash with darker skintones. It’s heavily pigmented and one swipe is enough to get good...

OPI My Private Jet Nail Polish

OPI My Private Jet Nail Polish

Creamy base + shimmer = my kind of polish! That’s exactly what OPI’s My Private Jet is! Now there’s a lot of “controversy” over how the first version of this polish actually had holographic glitter and the newer ones don’t or have just silver shimmer. Well, I’m not sure which one this falls under. It looks pretty holographic to me, the shimmer is very fine. But, I’ve seen some pictures of the earlier versions and this isn’t as glitzy as that one. But aside from that, My Private Jet is a gorgeous nail polish and perfect for fall! It’s a dark dark brown base with silver holographic glitter. The glitter is densely packed and you can...
