This is an old foundation which I don’t use as often anymore, I’ve used up most of it. The Diorskin Nude foundation is a hydrating foundation meant to give a dewy natural look. Exactly my kind of foundation, sheer and light.
Diorskin Nude Foundation, rightly as the name suggests is meant to give your skin a natural glow and look. I use the shade Honey Beige 040. I’d say this foundation is similar to Mac Face & Body or Chanel Aqua Lumiere. The shade is a tinge darker than my skintone but in summers when I’m a bit tanned, it’s a perfect match.
The foundation is a bit runny and you always need to shake it up well before using. It’s sheer but buildable in...
I was travelling to cold countries where I knew I would be exposed to cold winds, low temperatures etc and I really wanted a good all in one cream that would keep the dryness at bay.
The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream was my pick. It’s a white coloured thick rich emulsion like cream. Consistency and texture wise it’s a bit similar to the Bath & Body Works Triple Moisture creams. It’s really thick but non greasy. It does however need a few minutes to sink in and get absorbed. But after that your skin is supple and soft for almost the whole day. You generally feel a bit of dryness in the evening.
It’s perfect to carry while travelling because you can use it on...
Mac Expensive Pink is another gorgeous eyeshadow which much like All That Glitters, speaks for itself. It has pink, gold and a lovely sheen to it, why will girls not like it?
Expensive Pink is Veluxe Pearl finish, by far my favourite from Mac. It’s a peachy pink with gold shimmer in it. Depending on your lighting it can look more pink or peachy at the time. But it’s the gold sheen that really makes this colour look rich.
This is great to wear on festive occasions, weddings etc. You can use this with bronze, gold, orange or purples for more intense looks. It works incredibly well with a lot of colours.
The quality is really great as well. It’s that buttery smooth kind which...
I had seen people rave so much about Sleek Makeup and I really wanted to try something from them. I definitely didn’t need eye shadows although their palettes are gorgeous! I opted for the Blush By 3. Three blushes and so cheap, why not! Plus, I can carry this with me when I travel, I get an option of 3 blushes in this compact case.
I’m reviewing Sleek Blush by 3 in the shade(s) Lace. It has 3 colours – Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. It’s a nice mix of matte and shimmer blushes.
Crochet : This is a matte peachy orange colour. It’s not bright orange like Nars Taj Mahal but not as pastel as Mac Peaches. This falls somewhere in the middle and imparts a nice...
Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
All That Glitters is that classic Mac eyeshadow that everyone needs to swatch atleast once in person if not buy. It’s a gorgeous beige warm shimmery colour. It almost looks a bit peachy to me. If I had to pair this with a nail polish, it would most definitely be Essie Buy Me A Cameo.
Mac All That Glitters is a Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow, one that Mac describes as a “beige gold pearl”. It’s a colour that suits both undertones and has a very subtle warmth to it. It’s a great colour to use all over the lid with bronze and smokey looks. I also like using this with Woodwinked or Satin Taupe.
It’s a pearl finish...
Nail polish with shimmer is my weakness. OPI Live and Let Die from the Skyfall collection is an intense gorgeous colour and if you like wearing darker colours for fall, this one is perfect!
Live and Let Die is dark forest green creme base with yellow and gold microshimmer. It gives it a lot of depth and it really sparkles in sunlight. The base is a very blackened green so can look almost black at times but in the day you can see that bit of teal in it as well.
Formula wise it’s your good old OPI formula which lasts for 6 days with very little chipping. The photos below are taken on the 5th day of wearing them; very slight tip wear.
The consistency is a medium cream which spreads...
Oddly this is my first post on a Shiseido lipstick. I bought my first one almost 8-9 months ago I really fell for the formula. Literally everything about this lipstick is top notch and just works well for me.
Shiseido Perfect Rouge is their range of pigmented hydrating lipsticks. I have this in the shade PK303 Pink Messa. It’s a perfect pink nude lipstick for me. It looks warm in the tube and is slightly more cool toned on me but just the right amount. I’m really in love with this shade. With Indian skin tones it’s such a challenge to find a good pink nude. This one is definitely a keeper for me!
These are creamy lipsticks but do not slip around and gather in edges....
Paco Rabanne’s Lady Million was the very first night time or sexy fragrance I bought. It’s a perfume you wear to make an entrance! Or atleast that’s the idea behind it!
It’s quite hard to describe but it’s a very sharp fruity one but just a tinsy bit spicy. Now when I say fruity I don’t mean like overly sweet or candy kind of fruity. It’s very warm, a bit citrusy and sweet.
So this has lemon, honey, Neroli, so that’s where it gets it’s fruitiness from. This might possibly be available at Parcos so just go smell it!
I also have the top, heart and base notes -
Top : Neroli, Orange flower, Arabian Jasmine
Heart : Bitter...
I finally managed to get my hands on Batiste again! I had mentioned in my Repurchased Products post that I would be reviewing this soon! I was doing my routine ‘let’s see if this product is available anywhere’ google searches to kill time when I finally found this on Snapdeal!
Here I have Batiste Dry Shampoo, the original one which has that clean citrus scent. It’s a product that just works well. You spray this on your roots which you will then find covered with very very fine white powder. As you massage it (or blend it) it will dissipate in a minute and your hair is as good as new! I have this problem on second day hair where it starts to clump and it’s a...
The movies section on this website is very much neglected. That’s quite odd because I’m a complete movie buff and I see atleast 2 a month. But I had to revive it for Gravity. If you haven’t seen it already go while it’s still in the cinemas. If you have an IMAX in your city, even better, it’ll be a much more thrilling experience.
Happy Diwali folks! I hope you all have fun on this long weekend (let’s be real, that’s the best part)! There is so much yummy food to eat, it’s heaven! ^_^
I’m reviewing Essie Watermelon nail polish today. I’ll be honest, my photos do not do justice to this polish. The colour is so beautiful, you really have to see it in person.
Essie Watermelon is bright fuchsia red colour. It’s like that elusive lipstick which you can never tell if it’s more red or pink. A similar dilemma here. I personally think it’s more pink, but feels like a more sophisticated pink due to the red in it. I feel this a colour you can wear all year round.
The quality of...
It was a nice lazy Sunday for me. Felt a lot like Garfield!
I believe I have found the perfect toner for myself! My skin is quite dry and I feel most toners that have alcohol are too drying for me. My skin feels too tight and dried out after using them. This one is a perfect match for my skin type!
Avene Gentle Toner is meant for dry, very dry and sensitive skin. It feels really gentle on the skin and is still very effective. This gets rid of the little traces of makeup and dirt left on the skin. There’s no stinging or any other feeling like that at all. There’s also no residue after using this and my skin feels really clean and balanced. The toner is colourless and fragrance...
I wasn’t a very blush person until last year (for wearing everyday I mean). Peachy pinks, corals, plums, I love them all now. This is actually a blush I picked out for my mom and months went by, she still hadn’t used it. She finally surrendered it to me!
Mac Plum Foolery blush is from the Sheertone Shimmer finishes. It’s a sheer blush with fine microshimmer and is absolutely gorgeous. As the name suggests, it’s a plumy rose pink with gold shimmer. It’s the kind of colour that will show up and suit everyone. The sheen especially makes it really gorgeous.
The shimmer is very very fine and it doesn’t spread all over your face. You can build up the colour...
Rimmel Apocalips is one stellar product! I’m not sure if and when it will launch in India, but I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!
Apocalips are basically a lip lacquer or lip cream similar to Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial is a mauve pink shade. It’s a good neutral for deeper skintones and a good everyday pink for lighter ones. If you liked Maybelline’s Mirrored Mauve, you’ll like this one too.
This looks so amazing on the lips, it gives full coverage and makes them appear smooth and fuller. The consistency is a thick lip cream, it’s glossy but not too much. It doesn’t evenly settle into a matte finish although the...
Hope you are all having a nice friday! Best day of the week!! ^_^
Maybelline’s Colorsensational Moisture Extreme Lipsticks seem to have become quite obscure and taken the back seat against all the new brands and launches. But for the longest time these were the best to buy and that enormous colour range made it even more likeable. I have a colour here that qualifies as my first orange lipstick!
Bronze Orange is a very unique burnt orange or terracotta like colour. For Indian skin tones, it’s really flattering and works well with very deep skintones as well. I doesn’t look too brown which is what I like about it, it’s more peachy. I had bought this when my lipstick...
