Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part Two

Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part Two

Hey guys! Here's the second and final part of Milan Fashion Week SS15. You can catch up with Part One here. I tend to like Versace's sensual dresses, they always know how to show off a body. It was a stunning change to find more contemporary silhouettes and perforated cut out patterns. I loved how lux the grey-taupe gowns looked at the Giorgio Armani show. It's a difficult colour which looks graceful but dull. The jackets and blazers were another feature. Pleated prints were the highlight of Roberto Cavalli's show and they were…Read more

Resort 2015 : Part One

The Resort 2015 collections are starting to trickle in, with the destination cruise collections like Chanel, Louis Vuitton releasing ahead of time. I'm following a new format for my runway fashion posts where I club 10-12 collections in one post. It will be image heavy! If you're looking for specific designers, try the tags. We start off with Dior!   Dior Set upon a cruise over the Hudson river, the collection felt very Dior-esque with its large but soft prints. The minimalism and cuts gave it more edge. I really love the sharp…Read more
Fall 2014 RTW : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander

Fall 2014 RTW : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander

Incredible collections from Roberto Cavalli, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta, all from Milan Fashion Week. Roberto Cavalli's in particular is amazing.     Bottega Veneta It's very ladylike, this collection. With just dresses and all in a similar silhouette, it's been given more depth with the use of patterns in the form of lines, curves and puzzle like arrangements. It's very wearable, even for workwear. There's a black and white dress with looks so light, it's clinched at the waist and looks incredible. The light grey and beige dress with the leather panels.…Read more

Spring 2014 RTW : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander

Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander I'll be going through the last few collections of Milan Fashion Week. It's going to be epic!   Bottega Veneta I'm not sure if I really like this. I like the play with pleats but it just look too crafty! Even so, I can appreciate the dismantled processor parts. No? I'll be calling them that anyway.       Roberto Cavalli Omg this collection is so beautiful! It has that 20's glam to it with the loose fit…Read more
Resort 2014 : Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Diesel Black Gold

Resort 2014 : Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Diesel Black Gold

Resort 2014 is here! I'm preparing for my next big vacation in June and I'll be travelling a lot. It puts me in the right mood to review resort collections! Granted, I'm travelling to cold countries in Scandanavia, the beachy resort collections are still a treat to view! Chanel Chanel's resort collection as always, took place in another exotic place; this time Singapore. While some silhouettes borrowed from the traditional Singaporean dress, Lagerfeld interprets it in the classic Chanel-esque manner. If you love pearls, clean exhuberance, you'll love this collection. I loved the…Read more

Resort 2013 : Bottega Veneta

I like the colour palette of Bottega Veneta's Resort collection. They are all muted dark and bright colours. I think they are universally flattering. I'm not too inspired by the collection. There are few pieces that are really gorgeous though. The collection has activewear, fitted dresses, light coats and some swimwear pieces as well. It kinda¬†embodies all the looks you'd need. I really liked the blue dress with a floral collar. The plum pums actually look really cute.                       Image Credit : Style.com…Read more
