Khuraira Dark Circle Primer

Khuraira Dark Circle Primer

A few months back, I received products from Khuraira Cosmetics. I had never heard of the brand before and decided to do some digging. It appears to be a cult-ish brand used mainly for pro makeup. It also has a good focus on women with deeper skintones and their range of products cater well to them.  One of their applauded products is the Dark Circle Primer. You might get alarmed when you see the photo, as it's bright orange. But it's use and the way it works is very essential if you have…Read more
Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW40

Mac Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW40

The studio sculpt concealer was the first Mac concealer I ever purchased and I've used it a lot! Before I start the review, I should mention a bit about where I need to conceal. I have different levels of discolouration on the sides of my nose (near the tear duct) and a bit under the eye. The one on my nose is a much darker colour than the rest of my skin and so concealing is really a 2-step (sometimes 3) process for me. This concealer in particular I use for the darker…Read more

Best of Makeup 2012-2013

It's been a brilliant year for me. I started working, missed my student days dearly but decided to bring the fun at my workplace to compensate for that! ;) Starting this blog was a decision I was terrified of but I'm happy I took the leap. It's something I do because it makes me happy and it's very fulfilling. Throughout the year I made it a point to review the best and favourites more often. Hence you will find reviews here as well! So here are the best of make up in 2012!…Read more
Elf Tone Correcting Concealer in Honey

Elf Tone Correcting Concealer in Honey

Elf's Tone Correcting concealer is quite shoddy to be honest. But I thought I'd review it anyway. A strange thing happens when you see a product costing $1. We are accustomed to believe that when you pay more you get better quality. But we are quite greedy and like to get what we pay for so occasionally you see something lower priced and think that this might work well, who knows?! I'll bring my rambling to end my stating this: Good cheap products do exist and are hard find to fine; this isn't…Read more

October 2012 Favourites

This post is quite late but it's time for the October favourites! This time it's a mix of some things I've been using for months and by beloved lip butters.     01. Foundation : Dior : Nude in 040 Honey The pump is really messy to work with and the foundation is the perfect if you want sheer coverage.   02. Brush : Sigma : Kabuki bursh Fluffy brush! Very smooth and soft; I use it to set the powder.   03. Lip Gloss : Revlon : Colourburst lip gloss in Sunset This sheer…Read more

Mac Select Moisture Cover Concealer in NW35

Mac's Select Moisture Cover Concealer is undoubtedly one of the best in the market and one of my favourites for sure. Now before I go ahead with the review, I should tell you know that I have a lot of discolouration around my nose and undereye. Coupled with this, I have deep set eyes which makes shadows appear under my eyes. To counter this I generally have a two-step process to apply concealer. I first apply a darker red based concealer to mask the discolouration and then I use the Select Moisture concealer…Read more

March 2012 Favourites

It's the time of the month! I mean, to err... talk about my favourites! The products mentioned below are not only the most used this month but also what I would reach out for the most on occasion. Onto the list! But a pretty picture first. ; 01. Concealer : MAC : Moisture Select Concealer : NW35 I have panda eyes. Although, that doesn't make me look cute! To be very honest, if I completely cover them with heavy concealer, it just looks really unnatural. I think that to look a bit natural,…Read more
