August 2015 Favourites

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant start to the weekend! After posting this I'm going to enjoy some much needed me time with a face mask and painting my nails while catching up on Made In Chelsea. I honestly don't know why I watch it. I think it's the outfits and Lucy Watson snark that draws me in. Also, my pictures turned out really dull this time round, mirroring the weather outside.   01. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in Beige 40 :: Review :: I've mentioned this many times before, but if…Read more
Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet

There's almost this sense of accomplishment you get when you find a bargain worth well beyond its value. Sadly, I often tend to lose these gems in my makeup drawer. I bought Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint in Rich Russet a year ago, used it for a few months and forgot about it. Thankfully, my democratized monthly makeup rotation¬†helped me rediscover it and I've been on a mission to use it up. Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paints were probably released last year. Along with Maybelline Color Tattoos it was the next great drugstore product. Among…Read more
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils

Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils

Hello! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! Nyx Jumbo Pencils are a great effective budget option for cream eyeshadows. I have three shades with me, Black Bean, Strawberry Milk and Yogurt. Overall, these are very pigmented, creamy and easy to blend with almost no fallout. They do sheer out easily and can be layered. These crease on me after maybe 5-6 hours but personally, I love using these as a base with an eyeshadow over it. I¬†rarely use them on their own. Black Bean : It's a matte black shade that's very…Read more

June 2015 Favourites

It's favourites time again! I tried to not include everything from my haul, but there's a lot from it.   01. Pai Camellia & Rose Ultra Hydrating Cleanser :: I used up my Ren Milk Cleanser and it was time to finally start using this. I'm very impressed. I like the consistency, my skin never feels too dry after using it. It's very gentle around the eyes as well. I generally use this in the mornings and second cleanse in the evening. I also love the packaging and the pump really generates the…Read more
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Bold Gold

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Bold Gold

There are loads of reviews for this product already and I was quite late to get in on it. I was looking for a true gold kind of eyeshadow when I spotted this and thought I'd try it out. Really wanted to try a Color Tattoo. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow is a recent offering of cream eyeshadows that can be used by themselves, as bases or even as an eyeliner! The shade Bold Gold is a true gold according to me. It isn't too yellow or too antique looking either. I love…Read more

Mac Paint Pot in Rubenesque

Mac's Paint Pot are one of the must haves when it comes to make up. You just need which which suits you best. Rubenesque isn't a colour that looks good on me as it is. But works really well as a primer and base eye shadow. It's a peachy gold colour in the bottle. It actually looks more like gold shimmer with a light pink tint when blended. The consistency is like a thin cream eye shadow. It stays on really long, 8 hours or longer. Eye shadows look really great on top…Read more

Mac Big Bounce Shadow in Black Diamond

Mac's Big Bounce shadows are limited edition from the Flighty Collection and I grabbed Black Diamond at Heathrow. At first I thought this would be a glossy eye shadow. It's consistency is quite different from paint pots. It's more gel-like than creamy, although you wouldn't define it as one. I'd say it were a thick gloss with microshimmer that dries to a powdery finish. It doesn't appear completely matte when it dries, but not glossy either. This creases very easily so using just this on the lid is pointless. You need to set…Read more
