The Peach Lip Edit

The Peach Lip Edit

So a while back, last winter, I had my sheer red lipstick phase. That's done with now. Time for peach! This is a tricky colour because if it's too light it doesn't look good on me, if it's too pink it ends up looking too coral. The best way that I've found for me to pull off peach is when it's sheer! For more opaque shades though, using a lip liner makes it more wearable. Here are my picks for peach lipsticks (and one lip gloss) that I've been loving this summer!   Time…Read more
Makeup Collection // Highlighters

Makeup Collection // Highlighters

Hi there! It's been very grey and stormy this week, I'm hoping this will cheer you (and me) up on this dreary Thursday. Let's talk all about highlighters! Before we get into the collection, a bit of nostalgia. My very first one was Nars Orgasm, back when it came in a tube. I quickly realized just how much it can change your look with just a tiny bit, I was hooked. It was pink and gold, I used it everyday with all combinations of blushes. I was obsessed! Naturally, since then, the obsession has grown. L-R…Read more
May 2015 Favourites

May 2015 Favourites

Happy Monday! I thought I'd present what I've been loving lately, there's a mix of old and new products this time round. I generally don't have too many new favourites month to month. But every 2-3 months I have a lot more new products to share without it getting too repetitive.     01. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion :: As much as I like The Body Shop it can get boring to use them at a stretch. I was quite happy to find this at Sephora. I had used…Read more
Best of Makeup 2014!

Best of Makeup 2014!

Hope everyone had lovely holidays! I think half my classmates got married just this weekend. I'm a very passive facebook user, logged in after a long time and the wedding photos were overwhelming! It was lovely though. :) Time to get teary eyed about all my favourites this year now! It took a long time to create this post, mainly because I went through my entire collection to pick things out. Ended up with 30 lipsticks that I narrowed down to around 10. Emotional heart-breaking decisions all over the place! I'm also positive that I've missed out…Read more
Lip Balm Army

Lip Balm Army

Winter dictates that all lip balms in the arsenal are to be released this time of the year. I think that's enough metaphors for one post. :) It doesn't get as cold as New Delhi in my city, but the air is very dry and even people with perfectly normal lips start having problems in winter. Here's what I use to keep my lips soft and nourished at all times.   The Essential You might have heard of Nuxe Reve de Miel plenty times by now. I'll keep it short and sweet. It's hydrating,…Read more
Guide to Berry Lips

Guide to Berry Lips

If you are uncomfortable around an excessive amount of lipsticks, please retreat! This post is only for the brave! I'm hoping, that this post will help you pick out or discover colours you'd like for your fall/autumn/winter looks. Now I don't strictly follow seasonal trends but overall, I thought this post would be helpful to discover berry toned lipsticks (and other lip products). We're gonna work in three parts here.   Part One : Just Give Me Lipsticks To Look At Umm... ok. Here you go.     Part Two : I Don't…Read more
What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

On my review posts I'm always talking about how travel friendly products are etc. Since I spent the better half of last month doing just that, I thought I'd do a 'What's in my purse' instead of the usual monthly favorites! Let's dig in! I mainly carried 3 bags. The red one with two transparent sides was for keeping makeup. I kept the products on one side and the brushes on the other. The pink one was also kept in my luggage and it contained skincare stuff, perfume etc. And lastly, the gorgeous…Read more
Resort 2015 : Part One

Resort 2015 : Part One

The Resort 2015 collections are starting to trickle in, with the destination cruise collections like Chanel, Louis Vuitton releasing ahead of time. I'm following a new format for my runway fashion posts where I club 10-12 collections in one post. It will be image heavy! If you're looking for specific designers, try the tags. We start off with Dior!   Dior Set upon a cruise over the Hudson river, the collection felt very Dior-esque with its large but soft prints. The minimalism and cuts gave it more edge. I really love the sharp…Read more
Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Orange Ovation Spotlight Coral

Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Orange Ovation Spotlight Coral

This is an oldie I once picked up at an airport. The Dior Addict High Shine range (not to be confused with Dior Addict) is discontinued but I thought I'd review it anyway, it's still available on certain websites. I suppose it's meant to be more glossy than the Addict range but I didn't really find that much of a difference compared to Backstage. Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Orange Ovation/ Spotlight Coral is a peachy pink, leaning more towards the orange side with a bit of gold shimmer added to it.…Read more

Wishlist : March 2014

Hope you guys had a great weekend! Best to start off this week with a bit of wishful thinking! This is a more realistic wishlist for me because there are a few products that I might actually end up buying.     01. Clinique : Blush : Cheek Pop Blush : Ginger Pop I want these, hope they release soon in India. Ginger…Read more
