My idea of getting through the work midweek is making plans for the weekend! It's all decided, I'm going to be cooped up in my room watching the rest of House of Cards. All I want is Robin Wright's wardrobe! Meanwhile, you can take a peek at what I've been loving the past month. This is going to be a long favourites post! I think it's the first one for 2015. Essie Splash of Grenadine Nail Polish

Essie Splash of Grenadine Nail Polish

Hi guys! Hope you're all having a great start to the week! I have a Sephora Pune update at the end of the post but for now let's try to focus on this gorgeous spring appropriate nail polish! Essie Splash of Grenadine is such a difficult colour to describe. Pinky purple? Lavender pink? Very very cool toned light pink? I'm going to settle for #D384C4. It's also hard to photograph exactly which is why I have it below in all possible natural light settings. Maybe we can all just agree that it's pretty.…Read more
Essie On A Silver Platter Nail Polish

Essie On A Silver Platter Nail Polish

Hello there! I basically went missing from the internet for the past few days. I was out of Pune for 3 days and also had my birthday on Sunday (the 4th), which kept me busy. Overall it was lovely, had loads of cake, met up with friends and a nice romantic dinner. My boyfriend got me something from one of my wishlists! Probably the only time he visits the blog! :p So yea, I'm 26 now. Should be looking into anti-aging stuff? Any changes you did in your routine once you crossed that '25'…Read more

Time for the monthly favourites. I've had such a crazy Monday, I just want to talk about makeup! A  bunch of things I've been using for the last 2-3 months and some are more recent favourites. So here goes!   01. Lorac Pro Palette :: So I finally got this a few months back and it's pretty much replaced my UD Naked palette. I love the colours! I've used it for subtle everyday looks, night outs with smokey eyes and shimmery looks. Also used it on Diwali and I have a few weddings…Read more
Essie DJ Play That Song Nail Polish

Essie DJ Play That Song Nail Polish

It's a shade perfect for summer with a cheesy name. Oh, it's also a radiant orchid shade! What else do you need? Essie DJ Play That Song came out in the 2013 Neon collection. It's a jelly polish (similar to Maybelline Colorshow). You can use this by itself or over a white nail polish but you get different colours. Over the nail by itself, you get the colour as shown in the swatches below, it looks more pink/fuchsia. Over white you get a colour closer to that in the bottle. It's also described…Read more

Top 10 Nail Polishes for Spring

To be very honest, I don't always follow the seasonal trends when it comes to nail polish. My mood and what catches my eye pretty much dictates what I'm wearing at the moment. But for those who do, here are my top 10 picks for spring and summer! I like blues, greens and this year, the radiant orchid shade as well. Let's get started!       01. H&M Newlyweds - This is a lovely sheer polish which has a milky white base and gold shimmer densely scattered. It looks very understated and…Read more

Essie The More The Merrier Nail Polish

Essie The More The Merrier Nail Polish

If you're bored with the usual colours and want something different, you might want to consider Essie The More The Merrier. This came out with the Naughty Nautical collection. I'd describe it has a  chartreuse leaning more towards yellow. Or just a lime shade if you prefer. I wouldn't call it a pastel shade but it's not very bright either. There are lots of similar polishes though with slight variations in brightness like China Glaze Def Defying, China Glaze Electric Pineapple, OPI Did It On Em and Revlon Sassy. It's a creme polish…Read more

If you asked me what my first love (in makeup) was, it would definitely be nail polishes! Love them! Love changing it up every week as well! Here are my top picks for fall.
