Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I've had this palette for a good six months now so I thought I'd review it. I was initially very sceptical about how the cool toned colours would look on me but I guess it can work if you balance it out with darker shades. For me, it also depends on the outfit and the kind of jewelry I'm wearing. Gold? Nope, won't be using this. Silver, rose gold? Yes! Anyway, moving on, the palette itself like the other Urban Decay palettes is great quality wise. There are a few shades that aren't…Read more

October 2014 Favourites

Time for the monthly favourites. I've had such a crazy Monday, I just want to talk about makeup! A  bunch of things I've been using for the last 2-3 months and some are more recent favourites. So here goes!   01. Lorac Pro Palette :: So I finally got this a few months back and it's pretty much replaced my UD Naked palette. I love the colours! I've used it for subtle everyday looks, night outs with smokey eyes and shimmery looks. Also used it on Diwali and I have a few weddings…Read more
Inglot 439 Pearl Eyeshadow

Inglot 439 Pearl Eyeshadow

I have a midweek trip to the mall and some damage will be done! feeling guilty even as I'm typing this but there are a bunch of things I've wanted for a long time! Anyway, speaking on nice things, here's one of the best eyeshadows in the market, Inglot 439 Pearl. It's a gorgeous cool toned purple eyeshadow with purple and at times blue micro shimmer. The pearl finish really makes this standout. It's the middle shade in my 5 pan palette. As you'd expect from Inglot, the eyeshadow is very pigmented indeed.…Read more

August 2014 Favourites

It's that time of the month to share my favourites! I have a few unusual ones here, because I can't really bring myself to fully review a hand wash and a hand sanitizer. Let's get cracking!       01. Eye Cream : Clinique : All About Eyes Rich After my trip in June, my eye area was in serious trouble. It was extremely dry and I thought it might be best to start using an eye cream. Now, this is mainly for hydrating the area. Other concerns like dark circles ( mine…Read more
L’oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

L’oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

L'oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadows are pretty damn good. I've reviewed the shade Burning Black before. However, this particular shade was only released in the US. It's worth getting your hands on it though! These are a bit like loose pigment quality eyeshadows but in pressed form. It's very tightly packed and so there's no mess! The shade Amber Rush is a cross between a copper and rose gold shade. It's so flattering on all skintones, it's perfect for festive or wedding kind of makeup. I really love how intense it looks on the…Read more
Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Something about Mac eyeshadows gives you the feeling like you're holding something precious. It's well founded with other eyeshadows like Woodwinked, Expensive Pink etc. But with Contrast, I'm not too sure. From the plethora of finishes and colours, Contrast is a velvet finish eyeshadow. The colour is really something. It's like a dark blue, almost black base with very fine blue pearly microshimmer. I like that the blue is very cool-toned, no hint of navy or green in it. The finish is slightly matte and I like the  matte base with shimmer kind…Read more
What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

On my review posts I'm always talking about how travel friendly products are etc. Since I spent the better half of last month doing just that, I thought I'd do a 'What's in my purse' instead of the usual monthly favorites! Let's dig in! I mainly carried 3 bags. The red one with two transparent sides was for keeping makeup. I kept the products on one side and the brushes on the other. The pink one was also kept in my luggage and it contained skincare stuff, perfume etc. And lastly, the gorgeous…Read more
Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow

Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow

If you've been reading any beauty blog long enough, you've probably heard of this eyeshadow a million times. Mac eyeshadows are overall pretty good but some are exceedingly well made; Satin Taupe is one of them. It's a frost finish but formula wise it feels similar to the Veluxe Pearl range. The colour is something that would work on absolutely anyone. It's a grey taupe with a hint of brown. The silver pearlescent shimmer also gives it a more rich look. It's a colour that can work really well as a transition colour. For a…Read more
BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

Every month I rotate makeup in my "daily use" section so I actually end up using the lot. Last month I got a lot of wear from this neglected eyeshadow duo. BareMinerals eyeshadows, particularly the READY range are raved about everywhere. So, when there was a nifty discount on FeelUnique, I grabbed this. The BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes is a two eyeshadow palette with the shades Page Six and Most Requested. Page Six is a warm baby pink with fine gold shimmer. It's pigmented but not as much as Most…Read more
Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow

Urban Decay wins when it comes to eyeshadows! I managed to get my hands on this gorgeous and alarming pink eyeshadow. Urban Decay Woodstock is a pearly fuchsia eyeshadow. It's also described as a deep pink shimmer. It has pink and silver shimmer. How amazing is the colour though? I can keep staring at it for hours! The quality is great, on par with rest of the pearl finish UD eyeshadows. It's very smooth and buttery to touch. It's also very pigmented and the payoff is good as well. I like that even…Read more
