L’oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

L’oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

L'oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadows are pretty damn good. I've reviewed the shade Burning Black before. However, this particular shade was only released in the US. It's worth getting your hands on it though! These are a bit like loose pigment quality eyeshadows but in pressed form. It's very tightly packed and so there's no mess! The shade Amber Rush is a cross between a copper and rose gold shade. It's so flattering on all skintones, it's perfect for festive or wedding kind of makeup. I really love how intense it looks on the…Read more
Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Something about Mac eyeshadows gives you the feeling like you're holding something precious. It's well founded with other eyeshadows like Woodwinked, Expensive Pink etc. But with Contrast, I'm not too sure. From the plethora of finishes and colours, Contrast is a velvet finish eyeshadow. The colour is really something. It's like a dark blue, almost black base with very fine blue pearly microshimmer. I like that the blue is very cool-toned, no hint of navy or green in it. The finish is slightly matte and I like the  matte base with shimmer kind…Read more
What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

What’s In My Bag : Travel Edition

On my review posts I'm always talking about how travel friendly products are etc. Since I spent the better half of last month doing just that, I thought I'd do a 'What's in my purse' instead of the usual monthly favorites! Let's dig in! I mainly carried 3 bags. The red one with two transparent sides was for keeping makeup. I kept the products on one side and the brushes on the other. The pink one was also kept in my luggage and it contained skincare stuff, perfume etc. And lastly, the gorgeous…Read more
Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow

Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow

If you've been reading any beauty blog long enough, you've probably heard of this eyeshadow a million times. Mac eyeshadows are overall pretty good but some are exceedingly well made; Satin Taupe is one of them. It's a frost finish but formula wise it feels similar to the Veluxe Pearl range. The colour is something that would work on absolutely anyone. It's a grey taupe with a hint of brown. The silver pearlescent shimmer also gives it a more rich look. It's a colour that can work really well as a transition colour. For a…Read more
BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes

Every month I rotate makeup in my "daily use" section so I actually end up using the lot. Last month I got a lot of wear from this neglected eyeshadow duo. BareMinerals eyeshadows, particularly the READY range are raved about everywhere. So, when there was a nifty discount on FeelUnique, I grabbed this. The BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in The 15 Minutes is a two eyeshadow palette with the shades Page Six and Most Requested. Page Six is a warm baby pink with fine gold shimmer. It's pigmented but not as much as Most…Read more
Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Woodstock Eyeshadow

Urban Decay wins when it comes to eyeshadows! I managed to get my hands on this gorgeous and alarming pink eyeshadow. Urban Decay Woodstock is a pearly fuchsia eyeshadow. It's also described as a deep pink shimmer. It has pink and silver shimmer. How amazing is the colour though? I can keep staring at it for hours! The quality is great, on par with rest of the pearl finish UD eyeshadows. It's very smooth and buttery to touch. It's also very pigmented and the payoff is good as well. I like that even…Read more

Icy Blue New Year’s Eve Eye Tutorial

New Year's Eve is arguably the only time I experiment more with makeup! This year I wanted to so a really different eye look. Now I'm no genius, this look is inspired by this. Not sure who the original blogger is but if you do, please let me know so I can give credit. :)     I changed it up a bit to suit my eye shape. I don't like a lot of makeup on the bottom and I also have hooded/deep set eyes. but you will need to change the crease…Read more

Just Swatches : Inglot Eyeshadows

I hope your bandwidth can handle this post, it's going to be image heavy. I'm back with another swatch post! This time it's Inglot eyeshadows. I've reviewed a few of them here but it'll take me a while to get through all of them. I thought I'd just do a swatch post for the time being. I bought the first few Inglot eyeshadows a little over a year ago. I really wanted more colourful eyeshadows as at the time, I mostly had neutrals. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money…Read more
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Bold Gold

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Bold Gold

There are loads of reviews for this product already and I was quite late to get in on it. I was looking for a true gold kind of eyeshadow when I spotted this and thought I'd try it out. Really wanted to try a Color Tattoo. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow is a recent offering of cream eyeshadows that can be used by themselves, as bases or even as an eyeliner! The shade Bold Gold is a true gold according to me. It isn't too yellow or too antique looking either. I love…Read more
