Urban Decay wins when it comes to eyeshadows! I managed to get my hands on this gorgeous and alarming pink eyeshadow.
Urban Decay Woodstock is a pearly fuchsia eyeshadow. It’s also described as a deep pink shimmer. It has pink and silver shimmer. How amazing is the colour though? I can keep staring at it for hours!
The quality is great, on par with rest of the pearl finish UD eyeshadows. It’s very smooth and buttery to touch. It’s also very pigmented and the payoff is good as well. I like that even on my extremely pigmented lids, I get true to pan colour without a primer or base.
It blends really well and stays put all day, no creasing either. Its really makes your lids...
Mac Expensive Pink is another gorgeous eyeshadow which much like All That Glitters, speaks for itself. It has pink, gold and a lovely sheen to it, why will girls not like it?
Expensive Pink is Veluxe Pearl finish, by far my favourite from Mac. It’s a peachy pink with gold shimmer in it. Depending on your lighting it can look more pink or peachy at the time. But it’s the gold sheen that really makes this colour look rich.
This is great to wear on festive occasions, weddings etc. You can use this with bronze, gold, orange or purples for more intense looks. It works incredibly well with a lot of colours.
The quality is really great as well. It’s that buttery smooth kind which...
Hope you’re all having a great weekend!
All That Glitters is that classic Mac eyeshadow that everyone needs to swatch atleast once in person if not buy. It’s a gorgeous beige warm shimmery colour. It almost looks a bit peachy to me. If I had to pair this with a nail polish, it would most definitely be Essie Buy Me A Cameo.
Mac All That Glitters is a Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow, one that Mac describes as a “beige gold pearl”. It’s a colour that suits both undertones and has a very subtle warmth to it. It’s a great colour to use all over the lid with bronze and smokey looks. I also like using this with Woodwinked or Satin Taupe.
It’s a pearl finish...
I’m reviewing another one of my favourite Inglot eyeshadows. This one is from the AMC Shine range which have a lot of microshimmer in them, somewhere between pearl and double sparkle.
Inglot AMC Shine 10 is a light melon orange with silver microshimmer. When it hits the light it can also look a bit gold in colour. It looks more like a pastel shade in the pan but it translates really well on the lid. If you use this with bronze and brown colours, it’s very easy to create festive looks.
While it is very pigmented, I didn’t find the intensity to be as much as 414 or 426 pearl shades when used dry. But when worn with a primer, you can see a drastic difference! The quality...
Maybelline relaunched the Colossal Kajal a while back. I’m not sure if the formula is entirely new but they claim that it lasts 12+ hours, is smudge proof and water proof! Let’s see about that!
I had actually never used the Colossal Kajal before. I know, shocking! I always had Lakme, some other Maybelline one but once I found perfection in my Mac Technakohl Liner, I didn’t really look for any others.
The Colossal Kajal is very soft and creamy to apply. You kinda have to be careful to not break it while applying! The colour is a very intense black and overall I’m happy with the consistency. Being a kohl, it is safe to use on the waterline which I also liked. This does...
Hey guys, today I’ll be reviewing one of Inglot’s eye shadows. It’s a pearl finish called 426. I’ve gone on about this many times but can I just say how terrible it is that none of these have non-numeric names? A lot more brain cells died when I tried to recall this name.
Anyway, 426 is a really gorgeous blue in a pearl finish. I leave it just at that because to me, it’s like that true blue which is not too yellow or green but smack in the middle of the spectrum. It looks a little bit lighter on the lid than it does in the pan, it’s probably due to the pearlescence.
The quality of this eyeshadow is amazing. It’s very pigmented. It’s a lot...
If I had a list of holy grail products, a list of makeup when you’re stuck on an island or the if-i-were-to-pick-only-one-eyeshadow list, this product would feature in all of them.
After that lengthy and dramatic introduction, this eye shadow is Urban Decay’s Buck. This one is also present in the Naked palette which is how I first encountered it. It’s a medium brown colour which has a neutral undertone I’d say. You can also see a bit of taupe in it. Either way, I loved this colour so much that I bought another eyeshadow so that I can carry it with me on the go.
The eyeshadow is very dense and pigmented. I rarely use an eye base but I get really good intensity with...
Glitter Liners are one product that I rarely use but everytime I see a good one, I need to have it. Perhaps it’s the inner child in me who has outgrown sparkles!
I bought Stila’s glitter eye liner in sea green a long time ago and I love this colour. Mainly because it’s sort of duochrome with aqua and turquoise mixed together with a clear base. The glitter varies from green, blues to purples and looks amazing.
But the problem is that it isn’t very dense and you need to apply atleast 3-4 times over the same area to get a dense even look. Apart from that, it doesn’t smudge or fall out and spread.
It stays on well for 4-5 hours. If you love experimenting with...
Chambor’s Stay-On Waterproof Eyeliner was one I received from a Blisscovered Box a very long time ago. It’s one of my favourite navy eyeliners!
It’s your average pencil eyeliner. The pigmentation is good but you don’t get the complete deal with one stroke, you do need to build it up a bit. I didn’t find this to be the softest eyeliner I’ve used but it is still smooth and you can put it on with relative ease without needing to tug or pull. I however, didn’t find it as smooth to glide on as some of the others I’ve used.
The colour is a true navy blue and really lovely. It gives a nice change of colour without being too in your face. It looks...
I’ve had a big life change in the past week and I’m quite excited about it! I’m a bit sad for the people for I will but I’ve had incredible times with them and I’m anxious for the future.
Now that that’s off my chest, let’s talk about the eye liner at hand!
Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner is one of the best eyeliners I’ve had. It’s incredibly soft and of really good quality and pigmentation. The colour Lionfish is a metallic medium brown which has a touch of bronze. The gold microshimmer is very fine and doesn’t feel rough at all. It’s all nicely packed and there is absolutely no fall out. The colour is...
Hello folks! I’ve been sick for almost an entire week and a real busy time at work and as a result neglected my blog quite a bit this month. but my schedule’s clearing up and I feel well rested and charged!
So a few weeks back I got the Maybelline Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liquid Liner from the PR company. (That is seriously one heck of a long name).
It’s a ranged coloured liquid liners and I’ll be reviewing the one in the shade Tangerine Orange!
I don’t own anything this bright, it puts all the bright orange lipsticks to shame! It’s a gorgeous true orange colour. It’s more yellow then orange and shows up real nice on the skin.
The handle is very...
Trax is one of Mac’s unique eye shadows. I’m sure Urban Decay has something comparable but I’m in love with this colour and the sheen.
Trax is a yellow based medium purple but with gold microshimmer. The shimmer is a bit chunkier than usual and not so subtle when you use it. It gives a lovely duochrome sort of effect when you wear it on lids. Part purple, part gold and part browny purple.
It goes on the lid very smoothly. However, this isn’t the most pigmented shade. I think it works far better when you use can eye base or primer underneath. When compared to other good Mac eyeshadows, pigmentation is where this falls short.
The colour blends well. You can use this...
Mac’s eye shadows are some of the best and this one is one of my most used eye shadows as well.
Woodwinked (such an adorable name) is a medium brown with gold microshimmer. The microshimmer is finely milled and the eye shadow is very smooth to apply. This colour is great for crease and well as an overall lid colour if you are going for natural or bronzey looks. When you see it against the light, the gold sheen is really strong but indoors it will appear true to its brown shade.
This is a very easy colour to blend, it’s a good neutralizer if you are using bolder colours like olive greens, teals, purples or deep pinks. For Indian festive looks, it’s a great colour to use as...
I purchased my first Inglot eye shadows 4-5 months back and they are so incredible! It’s like having a cheaper Mac with delivery in India.
414 is a pearl eye shadow in a dark forest green with a dark drown undertone. It has a emerald green sheen to it. It looks so good on brown eyes, it’s the perfect green to make a smokey brown and green look. For special occasions, it’s a beautiful colour to use. I bet this would look amazing on all skintones, especially Indian.
The texture of the eye shadow is very buttery smooth. It’s glides on very smoothly and rarely needs tugging.
It’s very pigmented, and the colour transfers from pan to lid with very good pay off. It...
Glitter time! A silver liner is something you might seldom use but is a must in your collection! It’s also handy to use one on your inner corner to highlight! This is a really good pencil for those silver smokey eyes or glittery party looks.
Milani’s Easyliner are really really good in quality and I prefer retractable pencils to normal ones. That makes this the perfect choice. This one also comes with an erasing sponge on the other side which is very useful. It can also be used for smudging. The pencils are incredibly smooth to apply. Not a lot of tugging required. The size is excellent for precision as well.
It’s very pigmented and the fallout is minimal with this one....
