Summer Haul

Summer Haul

Spanning 90 days and multiple cities, here's what I spent most of my money on this summer. I have used a few of these already so expect mostly raves! Highlight of the post is that I finally caved and bought Tom Ford!! I'm so pleased!! I feel complete. Kat Von D  Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in BauHau5 :: from Sephora (US) :: Intriguing shade name here! Here's how this started. Before KVD the only liquid lipstick that was transfer and kiss proof was the LimeCrime one. I refuse to buy LimeCrime and so my hunt began. For the…Read more
Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream

I've been a moisturizer  hopper ever since I started the blog. While I've found good lightweight moisturizers for the summer/travelling (Avene Smoothing Rebalancing Emulsion), when it comes to winter I still haven't found the one. Here's the latest one I've tried. Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream was on my wishlist for a long time. I really wanted to try the brand and the day cream,  it generally had great reviews, seemed like the safest option. Did the deed when I had a voucher on FeelUnique. The minute you open it up, the first thing…Read more
Goa Beauty Essentials

Goa Beauty Essentials

It's time for my annual pilgrimage to Goa. Four days of sun, sand, cheap booze and even cheaper petrol! The weather right now is as pleasant as it can get, it's going to be perfect! Every year we go to a different beach and this time we'll be exploring Morjim and Ashwem. Let me know your favourite Goa haunts! I'm excited! This time I thought I'd put up an 'Essentials' post, also a good excuse to discuss travel minis. I pretty much carry a similar amount of things when I travel there (or anywhere else).…Read more
Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Skincare

Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Skincare

I got a chance to try the new Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss range. It's mostly skincare but also includes the Absolute Gloss Addict lipsticks. So starting the end of October I basically replaced the relevant products with these in my Skincare Routine. Out went my Antipodes Moisturising Cream and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. In came the Lakme Skin Gloss Gel Creme, Reflection Serum and Overnight Mask. I've used these for a little over a month now here are my thoughts. The first thing you'll notice about all three products is the crazy strong scent. And I…Read more
La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Riche

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Riche

Hey guys! Time for a skincare review! You might have spotted this in a few favourites and in my travel makeup post. I've loved products from La Roche-Posay for a long time now. I always have the Effaclar AI on me and I've tried their moisturizers a very long time ago (before I started this blog). I was looking for a light moisturizer that I can carry around with me and I found this on sale at Escentual.com. La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Riche belongs to their hydration line. I was drawn to the…Read more
Avene Rebalancing Soothing Emulsion

Avene Rebalancing Soothing Emulsion

I've written about this so many times in favourites and other posts, it's high time I reviewed this product. It's pretty much over now! After using the Avene Gentle Toner I was really impressed and wanted to try more from the brand. I was looking for a light moisturizer that I can carry in my purse and this seemed to be a good fit. Avene Rebalancing Soothing Emulsion is a really confusing name which doesn't say a lot but it's basically a light moisturizer. This is perfect for people with oily or combination…Read more
Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing Brightening Cream

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing Brightening Cream

Time for another skincare review! This winter I was using this moisturizer from Korres which is Greek brand. They have quite a nice selection of bath and body products as well. Coming back to the Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing Brightening Cream is a rich moisturizer. It's white in colour and as a very mild rose scent which is quite nice. The consistency is thin but you can tell it's so concentrated. You don't need a big blob of this, just a tiny pea size amount for your face and neck will do. It forms…Read more
My Skincare Routine

My Skincare Routine

Updated Skincare Routine here Hello all! Hope you are having a great weekend! I thought I'd do a post on my skincare routine. For the longest time I didn't have any specific routine but reading other beauty blogs changed that! ;) Some of the steps I tend to skip on some days depending on how my day has been. So if it's a lazy Sunday and I haven't been out, I just wash my face and put on face cream. A few of the things like serums and masks I tend to use…Read more
Clarins Hydraquench Cream

Clarins Hydraquench Cream

I've always wanted to try Clarins skincare but it's just so damn expensive! Luckily, I was given this because a family member didn't want to use it (omg what? why?) but in any case, good news for me! The Clarins HydraQuench range in general is for hydration and moisturizing. There are a couple of different types available and also one including SPF 15. This one is the HydraQuench Cream meant for normal to dry skin. Texture wise it's a very rich and soft cream. It's easy to apply, bleands well and wbsorbs quickly…Read more
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I was travelling to cold countries where I knew I would be exposed to cold winds, low temperatures etc and I really wanted a good all in one cream that would keep the dryness at bay. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream was my pick. It's a white coloured thick rich emulsion like cream. Consistency and texture wise it's a bit similar to the Bath & Body Works Triple Moisture creams. It's really thick but non greasy. It does however need a few minutes to sink in and get absorbed. But after…Read more
