My final post on London Fashion Week covers wonderful collections from Michael van der Ham, Osman and Sass & Bide.
Michael van der Ham
Michael van der Ha’s style was darker this fall. But the mix of neon green and bright orange in between certainly made it more exciting. I love the patterns and how they are seamlessly placed without adhering to the cut. The cut outs were something I didn;t find much to my liking but the technique is still commendable. For my the best part of the collection were the...

In one of my concluding posts on London Fashion Week, I will focus on collections by Julien MacDonald, Mark Fast and Mulberry.
Julien MacDonald
Julien MacDonald’s collection is evidently meant for parties, celebrations and other such occasions. The silhouettes are fitted or they flow beautifully with the multitude of strings. I liked the latter half of the collections with the sheer on the side gowns and dresses. The crystal leaf like dress in blue was very striking as well. I also loved the bright yellow lace...

With wildly different inspirations, David Koma, Giles and Jean-Pierre Braganza pleased many at London Fashion Week.
David Koma
Inspired by vinyl records, David Koma’s collection used it in ways that you can’t imagine and kept the collection chic and sophisticated. While the dresses looked a bit outrageous, the coats themselves looked very wearable. I like the biege ruffle like vinyl collar coat. I also liked the periwinkle blue dress with the silver pattern over...

London Fashion Week continued to it’s run with diverse collections from L’Wren Scott, Nicole Farhi and Peter Pilotto.
L’Wren Scott
L’Wren Scott’s collection brought more shine and glamour to the runway with pieces almost certainly meant for well noted occasions. While the tailored simple silhouettes were very flattering, I didn’t feel too inspired by this collection. I did however, like the red and blue printed gown with the fur...

London Fashion Week saw brilliant collections from Alice Temperley, Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label and Matthew Williamson.
Temperley London
Temperley’s collection started off with a gorgeous taupe and black dress. It was rather simple but very polished and that set the tone. What impressed me was that the collection delved more into prints and making them workable. I love the one button blue plaid coat. It looks very young and sophisticated. I also like the black and cream gown with a vest-like body. The orange and white 3d like printed gown was also...

London Fashion Week was in full swing and collections from Clements Ribeiro, Duro Olowu and Felder Felder did not fail to impress!
Clements Ribeiro
This collection had lovely patterns and simple silhouettes with minor detailing that really set it apart. The opening top had a beautiful geometric and floral print with nice details along the collar. The black and red scalloped lace dress looks stunning. I asos really liked the heavier and more blingy pieces towards the end of the collection with sheer pieces over the silver...

The final day of Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Day 5 ended with collections from Nida Mahmood, Rehane and Manish Arora. Manish Arora had shown the same collection at Paris Fashion Week earlier in the month, but it was great to see the collection in India as well.
Nida Mahmood
An eccentric collection from Nida Mahmood featured symmteric prints, velvet trousers, two tone shirts and leather with studs! All separates in this collection are so beautiful and very wearable individually, at the very least. I love the yellow and blue handkerchief dress. The finale was a cool steam punk like gown with tablets telling the time. But I’m glad the avant garde was restricted to one...

The final day, Day 5 at Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week commenced with collections from Chandrani Siingh Fllora, Vaishali S and Charu Parashar.
Chandrani Siingh Fllora
When the show opened you’d have thought it was yet another collection with ethnic prints in modern silhouettes but I was really surprised. The lovely yellow and blue hues made a great combination for the Zodiac signs themed collection. You can see the inscriptions and symbols in the patterns. I like the sheer layering done in the skirts and although the silhouettes are quite simple, it really lets the print speak for...

The final collections from Day 4 at Will’s Lifestyle Fashion Week were by Aneeth Arora, Ranna Gill and Payal Pratap. Each collection had a distinct style and I have a feeling that Day 5 would be even better!
Aneeth Arora
Inspired by the circus, Aneeth Arora used the reference perhaps too literally but the combination of layering and the ease in the outfits is very alluring. Gingham and plaid prints played a bit part here. How cute are those bow ties? As separates I’m sure each of these pieces are very...

Day 4 of Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week continued with collections from Rahul Mishra, Sonam Dubal and Paras and Shalini (also known as Giesha Designs)
Rahul Mishra
Rahul Mishra’s collection combined lace, silk in beautiful feminine way. I love the red and green kaftan like dress as well the ones with the sharp peplums. The sheer shirt and the detailed outfits looked very rich.

The awesomeness at Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week continued on day 4 with collections by Pia Pauro, Shivan & Narresh and Dev r Nil.
Pia Pauro
Inspired by the Rajasthani aesthetic and style, Pia Pauro’s collection had the masculine and feminine sides to the outfits. The pale pink anarkali with the short white vest is gorgeous! I love all the looks.
Shivan & Narresh
Fall colours can be pushed aside for the neon print!...

Day 4 at Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week kicked off with collections from Rina Dhaka, Sanchita and Anand Bhushan. Read my reviews for each collection below!
Rina Dhaka
Rina Dhaka’s collection seemed inspired by international trends with lace, heavy embroidery and a gothic touch all playing it’s part. I love the taupe satin coat with the ruffled edges. The beige and cream striped shawl also looks very elegant. The orange and red gown with the sheer pleated skirt is by far my favourite from this...

The final collections on Day 3 of Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week were from Abraham & Thakore, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Manish Malhotra.
Abraham & Thakore
The much awaited Abraham & Thakore collection had a engaging palette with reds, fuschia’s and more earthy colours. The saree’s looked simplistic but grand. The cross weaved design gave a nice texture and sheen to the pieces. But the silhouettes look very contemporary.
Rajesh Pratap Singh
This collection had the...

Day 3 of Will’s Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw amazing and glamorous collections from Joy Mitra, Preeti S Kapoor and Sulakshana.
Joy Mitra
Joy Mitra’s collection was dedicated to Indian cinema. Chronicling the various styles in each decade, the collection had a good representation of aesthetics of cinema in the old days. The truw filmy buff would love wearing the red skirt with pictures of DDLJ, Madhuri Dixit. Gauhar Khan also made an appearance in a navy, orange and fuchsia lehenga that was breathtaking.
Preeti S...

London Fashion Week also saw impressive collections from Marios Schwab, Roksanda Ilincic and Tom Ford.
Marios Schwab
I love the collection for it’s muted tones. It’s very feminine and the soft coloured with the precision tailoring looks very elegant. I think gowns with a sheer slit are going to be the next big thing…
Roksanda Ilincic
The dainty woman looking for comfort and fur with a punch of prints in between, that pretty much sums up this collection.
Tom Ford
Tom Ford’s collection was an extravagant affair of colours and...
