August 2015 Favourites

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a pleasant start to the weekend! After posting this I'm going to enjoy some much needed me time with a face mask and painting my nails while catching up on Made In Chelsea. I honestly don't know why I watch it. I think it's the outfits and Lucy Watson snark that draws me in. Also, my pictures turned out really dull this time round, mirroring the weather outside.   01. Best of Makeup 2014!

Best of Makeup 2014!

Hope everyone had lovely holidays! I think half my classmates got married just this weekend. I'm a very passive facebook user, logged in after a long time and the wedding photos were overwhelming! It was lovely though. :) Time to get teary eyed about all my favourites this year now! It took a long time to create this post, mainly because I went through my entire collection to pick things out. Ended up with 30 lipsticks that I narrowed down to around 10. Emotional heart-breaking decisions all over the place! I'm also positive that I've missed out…Read more
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 52 Beige Rose

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 52 Beige Rose

So before I go on and talk about this foundation, this post will also serve as an outlet for a mini rant about the World Cup. My routine is so messed up, I stay up everyday till 2-3! Concealer saves the day! Watching Spain concede 5 goals was torture. :( That said, the Sony Six pre-show Cafe Rio coverage is the worst television I've ever seen. I seriously miss ESPN-Star and John Dykes. Getting rid of John Abraham and bringing in Sunil Chhetri made it bearable. I'm still not happy though. They don't…Read more
Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 in Almond

Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 in Almond

So Modi is our next PM! While I'm glad he is, I think the sheer excitement and unreasonable expectations put on the new government might lead to a few disappointments. I really hope they do well, but I wish people view/debate their actions objectively rather than blind faith or extreme pessimism. Time to move on to beauty now! I'm reviewing a tinted moisturizer today that's been my everyday go to product for a few months now. After trying the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation, I wanted to explore a bit more. This seemed…Read more
Mac Face and Body Foundation in C4

Mac Face and Body Foundation in C4

Are you tired of the phrase "holy grail product"? Well, sorry, you're going to subjected to that today because I'm way too excited to share this review! Anyone who hasn't tried this foundation needs to try it. Yes, for once, the hype around it is true. I resisted buying this for a long time as I was quite happy with my Nars Sheer Glow. If you ask me to chose now, I'd pick Mac Face and Body for sure. It's not that the Nars one isn't good, but personally I just like the texture and consistency…Read more
Elle 18 Glow Foundation in Shell

Elle 18 Glow Foundation in Shell

I got a package from Elle 18 with some of the new products. I was very anxious to try this. The Elle 18 Glow Foundation comes in 4 shades. Here I have it in Shell quick is a pretty alright match for me. First off, I would really call this a foundation, it feels much more like a tinted moisturizer. A very average one. You typically get sheer coverage which gives a natural look and can cover up some unevenness in your skintone. But I don't like the finish if you try to…Read more
Best Of Makeup 2013

Best Of Makeup 2013

It's almost the end of a year!! Not the most eventful one for me compared to others but in general my life was more settled and I was happier! I also loved blogging all year round and all the travelling I did! Sentiments aside, this post is to celebrate the best stuff I liked using this year! There are a couple from last year that I still use but I thought I'd also talk about newer products I liked!   Bases Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Honey | Mac Face and Body Foundation…Read more
Dior Diorskin Nude Foundation in 040 Honey Beige

Dior Diorskin Nude Foundation in 040 Honey Beige

This is an old foundation which I don't use as often anymore, I've used up most of it. The Diorskin Nude foundation is a hydrating foundation meant to give a dewy natural look. Exactly my kind of foundation, sheer and light. Diorskin Nude Foundation, rightly as the name suggests is meant to give your skin a natural glow and look. I use the shade Honey Beige 040. I'd say this foundation is similar to Mac Face & Body or Chanel Aqua Lumiere. The shade is a tinge darker than my skintone but in…Read more
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Syracuse

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Syracuse

Until recently, this has been my 'perfect' and go-to foundation. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation aims to give a dewy and natural finish. It adapts well to the texture of the skin and suits dry skin peeps like me. I have this in the shade Syracuse. If you're NC40-42 then Syracuse or Stromboli would be good matches. Nars has an excellent shade range, so hopefully you can find a good match. I specifically wanted a foundation that is easy to wear, doesn't feel heavy and can photograph well. That means no spf! I always…Read more
