This month I actually have a few favourites from December too because I’ve been using these products non stop!
01. Face Cream : Clinique : Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
I’ve been using this as my daily face moisturizer, I love it. I’ve never used a cream-gel formation before.
02. Perfume : BVLGARI : Pour Femme
This is my everyday perfume now. I love the scent!
03. Powder : Givenchy : Prisme Again Visage Compact Powder Quartet : Happy Sun
When I’m too lazy for foundation, this is my go to product. It gives a nice even look. I carry this with me everywhere!
It’s been a brilliant year for me. I started working, missed my student days dearly but decided to bring the fun at my workplace to compensate for that!
Starting this blog was a decision I was terrified of but I’m happy I took the leap. It’s something I do because it makes me happy and it’s very fulfilling. Throughout the year I made it a point to review the best and favourites more often. Hence you will find reviews here as well!
So here are the best of make up in 2012!
Ahem… and the categories are….

I contemplated a lot about this purchase. It’s way too much for a mascara, ridiculous price. But I had heard so many good things about it. Then I saw a photo of the wand it comes with and I was sold. It’s perfect for my lower lashes and the inner corner upper ones.
Givenchy’s Phenomen’ Eyes comes with a waterproof range and one that’s not. Over here I’m reviewing the waterproof one. I’m almost out of it and I thought I’d review it soon before it dries up.
The colour water black is the only black one available. I get confused when mascaras sell 3-4 different shades of black. Honestly, who can really tell? Anyway, the formula is quite good. It...
I’ve had a really lazy weekend. I’ve just been relaxing. I had more time on my hands and thought I’d do a tutorial. Now this one’s really bold. You might not wear this everyday but it’s a really fun look if you are looking to try something bright for a night out.

Step by Step
Givenchy’s collection is the most intriguing couture collection so far. There is so much detailing and braiding in each pieces. But I love the silhouette’s. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I love the red and black kaftan which looks like an ethnic tribal print from afar but it’s so dense in details.
This is a collection many can draw inspiration from.

It seems ages since I did a make up review. And I have many more lined up or July. Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit Shine is its range of sheer lipsticks. I think most of these have shimmer in them.
This was gifted a long time ago so I’m not sure if this particular shade is still available or if it was part of any collection. I have it in the shade (23) Poetique Camelia which is a baby pink shade with gold and silver microshimmer. I wouldn’t say this is a true pink because it is slightly peachy. It definitely has warm undertones. The lipstick is sheer and gives a frosty but glossy finish. I feel it does enhance lines on the lips at times but that does generally happen with...
I thought I’d start my tutorial series with a simple and universally flattering look. the grey smokey eye. This look can be made as minimal as possible or as dramatic as you need it to be.
Along with the pictures, I’ve given detailed intructions below.
What you’ll need :
01. Dark grey and cement (medium) grey like the Dior 5 Couleours palette.
02. Matte Black like Mac Carbon.
03. Black pencil liner like Maybelline Kohl Express.
04. (optional) Black liquid liner like Benefit Magic Black.
05. Black Mascara like Givency Phenomen Eyes
06. Eye Shadow brush.
07. Blending brush.
How to create look...
Givenchy this season is quite dark. The make up is so severe, I had to look away! But this collection has blazers and jackets in great cuts retaining peplums and a sharp look.
I liked the red and black lace and silk attires. They had a clash of tough and soft in it. The quilted black leather pants with that soft and flowy kimono blouse reflected that exact sentiment; as did the satin dresses with the thick belt. But the last few pieces of the collection is what I thought was the best work. The red sheer kimono sleeve dress paired with boots was very chic.
This collection didn’t blow my mind away but it had a few showstoppers.
