Summer Skincare Update

Summer Skincare Update

Settle in for a long skincare post! I wrote extensively about my skincare routine a while back. It's been a few months since there are couple of new products I'm playing with. I thought I'd go over my entire routine in brief. I'm on the fence about a lot of them but they seem to be working. Warning, there's also a Pretty Little Liars rant at the end. The Bathroom Situation All my cleansing, toning, face mask products are dutifully lined up on the glass shelf in my bathroom. They're usually not so equidistant.…Read more

Welcome to part two of my skincare routine, all about night time! Introduction about my skin type and morning skincare routine are all in this post. My pre-blogging self would be scoffing at this routine. From foam cleanser + Nivea + Vaseline, this is what it's come to! The first part of my night time routine is basically cleansing and toning. I very much prefer using cleansing oils and balms/milk/cream variants. Another addition that I previously did not use is an exfoliating toner. It's really helped with keeping the PH of my skin more acidic. I…Read more

Welcome to the three part series on my skincare routine! The last one I did was in 2013. I wanted to do one last year but I was never quite happy with my overall routine. Part Two is up here! I guess I should start off with explaining about my skin type! Skip ahead if you've heard this a million times already. I basically have dry skin, more so in winters. It's normal during the monsoons when it's humid. I don't really get oily but if it's a really hot summer day I…Read more
Goa Beauty Essentials

Goa Beauty Essentials

It's time for my annual pilgrimage to Goa. Four days of sun, sand, cheap booze and even cheaper petrol! The weather right now is as pleasant as it can get, it's going to be perfect! Every year we go to a different beach and this time we'll be exploring Morjim and Ashwem. Let me know your favourite Goa haunts! I'm excited! This time I thought I'd put up an 'Essentials' post, also a good excuse to discuss travel minis. I pretty much carry a similar amount of things when I travel there (or anywhere else).…Read more
Lip Balm Army

Lip Balm Army

Winter dictates that all lip balms in the arsenal are to be released this time of the year. I think that's enough metaphors for one post. :) It doesn't get as cold as New Delhi in my city, but the air is very dry and even people with perfectly normal lips start having problems in winter. Here's what I use to keep my lips soft and nourished at all times.   The Essential You might have heard of Nuxe Reve de Miel plenty times by now. I'll keep it short and sweet. It's hydrating,…Read more
NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm

NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm

I'm sitting here all cozy in bed, fuzzy socks on my feet, warm sweater on and a nice cup of hot chocolate next to me (when it was written, not posted). It's the perfect mood to talk about a lip balm that makes be feel all warm and cozy. It has many names, like 'Holy Grail Lip Balm', 'The Matte Lip Balm', 'Saviour of Lips', but popularly known as Nuxe Reve de Miel. If you've already used this, feel free to just nod vigorously and express your love below. If you haven't, this…Read more
October 2014 Favourites

October 2014 Favourites

Time for the monthly favourites. I've had such a crazy Monday, I just want to talk about makeup! A  bunch of things I've been using for the last 2-3 months and some are more recent favourites. So here goes!   01. Lorac Pro Palette :: So I finally got this a few months back and it's pretty much replaced my UD Naked palette. I love the colours! I've used it for subtle everyday looks, night outs with smokey eyes and shimmery looks. Also used it on Diwali and I have a few weddings…Read more
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Tease

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Tease

I'm feeling particularly lethargic this weekend. I'm hoping some more Diwali food is going to cure that! Meanwhile, here's something from my lipstick stash, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Tease. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate lip crayons. The fact that I feel like I'm applying markers to myself is enough to make me giddy. Tease from the Lacquer Balm range is a burnt orange kind of shade with zero shimmer. The orange is a bit deeper which, I feel,  makes it easier to wear. I have comparison swatches below but as you can…Read more
EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet

EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet

Time to review the cutest lip balm on the block. Pretty sure at some point you might have come across these and your inner child went "squeeeeee". Well, it did happen to me and I rightly purchased the EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet. The pink chubby ball is attractive in itself but thankfully, it works incredibly well too. Inside you have a dome shaped lip balm which is off white in colour and smells like strawberries. If that isn't enough for you, the formula is darn good as well. I like to…Read more
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel

It's one of my favorite lip products of 2014. Ever since I've got it, it's always been either in my bag or on my little vanity. On to the review! Clinique's Chubby Sticks are what first started the rage of lip crayons. With people complaining about the lack of pigmentation, Clinique came out with the Chubby Stick Intense range which were creamier and more pigmented than the previous offerings. Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel is one of the few nudes in the range. It's a light nude pink; I like that leans…Read more
