This is a post about how excitement induced by the sight of glitter, can overcome logic and reason. You’ll have to see the photos to know what I mean.
I first came across the Superglass collection on Temptalia’s site. And it was like love at first sight. I remembered seeing these on StrawberryNet and so I lurched for them! It was on discount, I took it as a sign from the universe and bought it promptly in the shades Fab Frenzy and Totally Bang!
Now that the story’s ended, let me rave about this lip gloss a little more.
This is not the best lip gloss in terms of consistency and there are some parts of the finish that I do not like. But, I haven’t come across...

This is a really casual chic outfit I love wearing if I’ve heading out for a movie or a casual date. It’s simple and light for summers.
Top : Miss Selfridge | Jeans : Miss Selfridge | Cardigan : Miss Selfridge | Clutch : Forever New | Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Necklace : Fab Alley | Bracelets : Fab Alley and Westside
Lips : Mac Super Glass Totally Bang | Nails : Illamasqua Phallic | Toes : Zoya Alegra
1. Monochrome can at times feel too simple. Add more depth by using pieces with different textures throughout the outfit.
2. Adding a little bit of colour with accessories does help! I chose the floral clutch as an ode to...

Hey guys! I had picked up this lip gloss a few months ago. Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Gloss range is the best even it comes to quality and value for money. I also have the shades Papaya and Rose Gold. Sunset Peach also lives up to the hype!
Sunset Peach in the tube is a light peach with gold and silver shimmer. It’s definitely a sheer lip gloss, not as pigmented as others in the range. It doesn’t transfer too much colour on the lips. For very pigmented lips, unless you just want that light glossy effect, this won’t really impart much colour. Hence this is best used layered over a lipstick if you want to add more shimmer or warm up the colour.
I love using this over nude...

I’m back with a wishlist after two months now. There just wasn’t anything significant I wanted in the last two months. Plus, I was trying to curb the temptation to shop. Best to cease with the wishlists then!
01. Brian Atwood : Aida : Multicolour suede pump
Way to start off the new year with a purely wishful product! Ridiculously expensive? Yes. Will I ever buy it? Probably not. But it’s so freaking gorgeous. I love the colours and the shape.
02. Diptyque : Candle : Baines
I’ve been wanting these for so long and I finally found a store in India that sells them, MoonRiver. Will I buy it? I hope they have a discount soon. The current price...

So my birthday was on the 4th this month!! It was just a busy and hectic birthday and it’s already been a smashing month. But here’s some of the stuff I bought/got gifted for my birthday.
L-R | Mac Blush : Well Dressed | Revlon Eyeshadow Palette : Blissful Girl | Mac Blush : Peaches | Mac Superglass : Totally Bang! | Carmex Lip Blam : Cherry | Mac Superglass : Fab Frenzy
After my last haul, I haven’t been buying much. So it was nice to splurge a bit for my birthday! I’m 24 now… *sigh*. Not the happiest of feelings. I don’t feel 24 at all! I wonder if all birthdays hence forth will be like...

December was a month for Mac products! I had an early birthday haul and found a few awesome new products!
01. Perfume : Narciso Rodriguez : For her (edt)
This was on my wishlist and I found a lucky discount and decided to buy it! I love the scent and lingers on all day.
02. Lipstick : Maybelline : Colorsensation Moisture Extreme : Brick Rose
This is one of the best reds to wear for the fall and winter. Very appropriate for red shy girls like me.
03. Lipstick : Mac : Fast Play
This is my favourite everyday lipstick. It’s darker than your usual MLBB shade but it suits me really well.
04. Blush : Mac ...

It’s been a brilliant year for me. I started working, missed my student days dearly but decided to bring the fun at my workplace to compensate for that!
Starting this blog was a decision I was terrified of but I’m happy I took the leap. It’s something I do because it makes me happy and it’s very fulfilling. Throughout the year I made it a point to review the best and favourites more often. Hence you will find reviews here as well!
So here are the best of make up in 2012!
Ahem… and the categories are….
Blush
Nars Douceur – Review
Bronzer
Clarins Mosaique Bronzer – Review

So around last year, there was a fabulous ASOS sale going on and I also has a student’s discount at the time. I bought the Model’s Own Loose Powder eye shadow and spotted this pretty lip gloss for a very neat price. It was impulsive and a good example of why impulsive buys don’t always work out for the best…
Model’s Own lip gloss in the shade Violet Cream is a very cool toned pink gloss with blue, pink and silver microshimmer. It’s a light pink with a violet sheen. It’s very sheer, almost like a transparent shimmery lippy with just a hint of a pink tint! So I’m quite disappointed with it. I can layer this over other lipsticks but eventually...

Guerlain’s Terracotta Collection has beautiful makeup in earthy and bronzey tones. I spurlged one day and got myself the Teracotta Gloss & Shine lip gloss in the shade Sunlight.
This is possibly the brownest shade of lip product I own but don’t let it scare you. It’s sheer and looks so beautiful. It would suit any skintone.
The colour is a reddish brown with multicolour microshimmer. It’s heavy heavy on the shimmer side and it’s very noticible. The gloss itself is sheer so the colours isn’t very harsh on the lips. It is, however, buildable if you want a richer and more opaque coverage. The finish is very glossy indeed!
This can go well over orange...

This post is quite late but it’s time for the October favourites! This time it’s a mix of some things I’ve been using for months and by beloved lip butters.
01. Foundation : Dior : Nude in 040 Honey
The pump is really messy to work with and the foundation is the perfect if you want sheer coverage.
02. Brush : Sigma : Kabuki bursh
Fluffy brush! Very smooth and soft; I use it to set the powder.
03. Lip Gloss : Revlon : Colourburst lip gloss in Sunset
This sheer lip gloss looks amazing by itself. It’s got a lot of microshimmer and it just makes your lips look warmer. I love it!
04. Blush : Nars : Douceur
It’s my go to...

Elf is one of the cheapest brands out there. Most of their products are pretty good and some are just ok. I’ve only tried this Super Gossy Lip Shine with SPF 15 but Im not too impressed. The colours is gorgeous but very uncomfortable to wear and carry. But at the price it’s an expected trade off.
The colour Candlelight is a light peach gloss with gold micro shimmer. It doesn’t wash you out. It sorta blends with the natural lip colour and adds warmth.
It lasts for about 3-4 hours which is alright for the price. I didn’t expect much. But what I don’t like is how it feels. The gloss is a bit sticky and sits heavily on the lips. It’s not gooey exactly but it...

Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm is an amazing lip gloss. It just looks so even and pretty. The formula is really good. This particular gloss is old. Since then, it’s been repackaged. You can see it in the shade Strawberry Sorbet if you’re looking for the more recent one.
There’s no name on the packaging, just 13. But the shade is so lovely. It’s a dusty muted pink (my kinda pink). You can say its Maybelline’s My Mahogany in a gloss. It’s also the MLBB gloss for me.
It goes on smoothly and doesn’t settle into lines. The gloss is a bit sheer and non sticky. It feels very light. It would look different on you depending on the pigmentation of your lips...

Revlon’s Colorburst Lip gloss range is one of my recent favourites. The colors are great and more importantly the quality and feel of the lip glosses is among the best in the market.
I currently own two from the range, Rose Gold and Papaya; the latter I will review today. Papaya is orange-red coloured lip gloss. It’s quite hard to describe it. It’s not a tangerine or mango orange, it’s definitely more peachy when applied. This one certainly has more red and pink in it though. And yes, the name Papaya is quite appropriate for it! It does look like a red-orange papaya slice (see the swatch, you’ll know what I mean). I haven’t found a lip gloss shade...
