If anyone made a Revlon lip butter rehab, I’d be the first one to sign up. Clearly I have a problem. But fortunately, this the last one I own and to be reviewed!
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya was released along with Wild Watermelon and was a very unlikely pick for me. It’s a very light peachy pink, leaning more on the peachy side. Compared to the swatch or tube colour, this looks quite different on my lips but I love it. It translates as a very warm light pink which surprisingly doesn’t wash me out! I feel like the name always perfectly describe the shade with lip butters.
This one is sheer and although you can’t build it up to a completely opaque...
I’m addicted to lip butters! There were four new shades released a couple of months back and I picked up Wild Watermelon and Juicy Papaya. These do not disappoint!
Wild Watermelon is bright pinky red shade. Come to think of it, it’s a perfect lipstick to go with the Essie Watermelon Nail Polish! It can look very similar to Cherry Tart in the tube, but this is much more pink while Cherry Tart is a very warm red.
Pigmentation wise it’s sheer and buildable to medium. You don’t really get full coverage with this and even at it’s best you will still get a hint of your natural lip colour.
I love how this just glosses over your lips to make the lines disappear and...
Hope you are all having a nice friday! Best day of the week!! ^_^
Maybelline’s Colorsensational Moisture Extreme Lipsticks seem to have become quite obscure and taken the back seat against all the new brands and launches. But for the longest time these were the best to buy and that enormous colour range made it even more likeable. I have a colour here that qualifies as my first orange lipstick!
Bronze Orange is a very unique burnt orange or terracotta like colour. For Indian skin tones, it’s really flattering and works well with very deep skintones as well. I doesn’t look too brown which is what I like about it, it’s more peachy. I had bought this when my lipstick...
Today I’m reviewing yet another lip crayon! The Clinique Chubby Sticks are perhaps what hit the scene first before the rest joined the bandwagon!
I’ll review the Chubby Stick and also do a bit of a comparison with the Revlon and Lakme ones that I’ve used so far.
The Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in the colour Chunky Cherry is a bright pinky red. It’s still a very warm colour but it has a tint of pink in it. These balms are very sheer but the colour is definitely buildable.
It’s glides very easily over the lips and applies evenly. It might take 3-4 swipes to get a sort of opaque look but the colour of your lips can change the final colour...
Hello kittens! So, I was away for a few days because I was attending a wedding. I’m hoping to get the blogging tempo in full swing!
Carmex as your might know makes loads of lip moisturisers and I bought this Cherry flavoured one from Asos when it was on sale and dead cheap (like £1). Why not, right?
So in my army of lip balms I would place this at medium strength! It has a very thin consistency, it’s what you’d describe as butter like feeling. It very glossy and stays like that for 2-3 hours. This isn’t the best moisturiser if you have really chapped lips and need more healing. Rather, this is more appropriate when you need something a little less just to keep your...
Today I’m reviewing a very popular lipstick in the Indian market, Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in Thrilling Pink. I doubt you’ll find a blog without a review on this! It has a lot of favourable reviews but I found my experience with these lipsticks very mixed.
Thrilling Pink is a medium bright pink. It gives a very soft look and it’s a very wearable pink. It looks very warm in the tube and when I swatch it but for some reason it looks more cool toned on my lips!
I first tried this in the winters when my lips weren’t in the best shape. I found this to be too drying and it accentuated the lines and problem areas even if I wore a moisturiser. I was disappointed and...
It’s been raining non stop for quite a while. I love rains but it comes with it’s set of problems, crazy hair, that chip chip humid feeling, lethargy and yawns that do not cease! So I’m stepping out of the gloom and sleep; this post might end up having quite a few typos because I can barely keep my eyes open.
I’ve been using Maybelline’s ColorSensational High Shine lip gloss for almost a month now. I was provided the shade 110 Mirrored Mauve. When I first looked at it, I was a bit disappointed and thought it was very dull. But it’s probably the most wearable shaded in the range. It might look a bit dusty and dull in the tube, but it’s a really...
Hey guys, today I’ll be reviewing another lip product, Khuraira Luscious Lips. It’s a lip gloss and unfortunately, I have no idea what shade it is. It doesn’t say so on the packaging or any of the material I received.
The colour is a light brownish pink with a lot of silver shimmer. The shimmer is very dense and fine.
This lip gloss is more creamy than liquid like. It glides on almost like a film and you can wear it sheer so that you can see your natural lip colour through, or build it up for an opaque look. I think the brown can make you look too mature so I like wearing this sheer. It adds more warmth to the lips and almost a warmer MLBB like shade.
So today, I’m reviewing something I haven’t really featured on my blog before, lip creams. They are like a mash between a lip gloss and lipstick where they are opaque and thick but give a glossy finish. I never intended on purchasing this, I got it free with a StrawberryNet haul. Don’t you just love the free gifts they give?
Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss comes in a lot of shades and I picked Euphoria after seeing some swatches online. It’s a dark berry plum shade which I don’t have and it looked great in the reviews.
The consistency of this medium thick, it doesn’t feel gloopy, just a bit more weighty than normal gloss. The application of this is great....
A couple months ago I received some sample products from Khuraira. I also got a lipstick which I’ll be reviewing today.
The color Lady Obama (nice name!) is a colour which I normally wouldn’t wear. But the colour is gorgeous and while it might look too mature at times, you need to find the right amount and occasion to pull it off!
It’s a coppery brown in a frosty metallic finish. That describes it to the T. It has a lot of minute gold shimmer but it gives a very foil like finish.
It’s very pigmented. With one swipe you get about medium coverage and you need 2-3 more to get that foil like look. It glides easily but if you have dry lips, it will be difficult to...
I’m back with another Kissable Balm Stain review! I reviewed it in the shade Honey a few days back and I like this one just as much!
Today’s review is the shade Smitten and umm… I was say the clique… I am smitten with it.
It’s one of the more pigmented shades in the range. It looks like a really dark plum in the tube but it’s a bright plum pink. It’s definitely cool toned and looks way brighter than the usual plums. What I like about the shade is that it isn’t a neon colour, it will look good on all skintones too.
The consistency of this is thin and very balm like. But it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the lips. It glides really well...
Ahhh…. it’s Monday again!! While I try to beat the Monday blues with a nice cup of tea, I also attempt to be concise and objective about this review. Why? Because I love it so much, that I explode with !!!!! every few seconds!!! See what I mean?
Well, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain’s have had tricky record in India I think. They started out with some popularity when launched and while the product is good, people were concerned about the price. But then came along Lakme Pop Tints which were more exorbitant and out went the apprehension about the Kissable Balm Stains!
I am quite late to review this, but I’ve been using it for almost 2 months now and I have...
This is a post about how excitement induced by the sight of glitter, can overcome logic and reason. You’ll have to see the photos to know what I mean.
I first came across the Superglass collection on Temptalia’s site. And it was like love at first sight. I remembered seeing these on StrawberryNet and so I lurched for them! It was on discount, I took it as a sign from the universe and bought it promptly in the shades Fab Frenzy and Totally Bang!
Now that the story’s ended, let me rave about this lip gloss a little more.
This is not the best lip gloss in terms of consistency and there are some parts of the finish that I do not like. But, I haven’t come across...
Hey guys! I had picked up this lip gloss a few months ago. Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Gloss range is the best even it comes to quality and value for money. I also have the shades Papaya and Rose Gold. Sunset Peach also lives up to the hype!
Sunset Peach in the tube is a light peach with gold and silver shimmer. It’s definitely a sheer lip gloss, not as pigmented as others in the range. It doesn’t transfer too much colour on the lips. For very pigmented lips, unless you just want that light glossy effect, this won’t really impart much colour. Hence this is best used layered over a lipstick if you want to add more shimmer or warm up the colour.
I love using this over nude...
Hello kittens! I was visiting the Mac store for what seemed like the n-th time!! I was hoping they had Crosswires in stock (which they still don’t). Oh well, I’ll try again soon. Anywho, I went in to buy bright lipsticks and came out with Fast Play instead. I have to say, it was better use of my money because this is a lipstick I wore everyday for quite a while.
Fast Play has the honour of falling into the “office appropriate” category!
This is an amplified creme lipstick which means it’s thick and creamy but feels very light weight on the lips. It’s also very moisturising, your lips don’t feel dry at all. I love the formula of this. It can overtime...
