Haul : Japan and Hong Kong Airport

Haul : Japan and Hong Kong Airport

There's a bit of guilt over this haul but I'm trying to push that aside as I write this! So, last month I went on a trip to Japan and China. I did a bit of shopping at Hong Kong airport and more drugstore shopping in Japan. Shiseido has multiple brands under the umbrella and I really wanted to buy them there. A bit of a note about where I shopped in Japan if you're interested. I was at Fort Venus ( in Odaiba) which was next to my hotel. I discovered they…Read more
Elle 18 Color Pop Liner in Green

Elle 18 Color Pop Liner in Green

I'm going to start this by telling you a really embarrassing tale about nail polish and liquid eyeliners. So I was about 10 or 11 when I bought my first nail polish. It was Elle 18 and they had some collection with shimmery lilacs and blues. Ofcourse, I went nuts when I saw these. But I also wanted a black nail polish. The emo kid in me was dying to come out! ;) So I barged into a local stationary "we sell everything" kind of shop, pranced to the makeup section, picked up…Read more
Stila Glitter Liner in Sea Green

Stila Glitter Liner in Sea Green

Glitter Liners are one product that I rarely use but everytime I see a good one, I need to have it. Perhaps it's the inner child in me who has outgrown sparkles! I bought Stila's glitter eye liner in sea green a long time ago and I love this colour. Mainly because it's sort of duochrome with aqua and turquoise mixed together with a clear base. The glitter varies from green, blues to purples and looks amazing. But the problem is that it isn't very dense and you need to apply atleast 3-4…Read more

Stila Glitter Liner in Silver Lilac

The heat is killing me! I wish the monsoons were here already! Everytime I see a speck of a grey cloud, I get my hopes up... I don't use glitter liners too often but I always pair them with a base since they don't tend to be very pigmented either. Stila's Silver Lilac is such a gorgeous shade with a unique mix of lilac, blue and silver glitter. The glitter itself isn't very coarse and doesn't feel heavy when applied on the lid. The concentration isn't dense when applied sparingly. You do need…Read more

Benefit Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner

I generally find that Benefit is a very overpriced brand with products you can find dupes for. But the liquid liner is a different story (for me). I have a very unsteady hand and using liquid liners scares me. The line becomes crooked, it bleeds, its isn't too black etc etc. But what I really liked about Benefit's magic ink liner is that it stayed in place, it lasted long, it looked resonably wet and didn't dry up into pieces. Along with that, I love the packaging and the long slim handle. It…Read more
