Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Mac Contrast Eyeshadow

Something about Mac eyeshadows gives you the feeling like you're holding something precious. It's well founded with other eyeshadows like Woodwinked, Expensive Pink etc. But with Contrast, I'm not too sure. From the plethora of finishes and colours, Contrast is a velvet finish eyeshadow. The colour is really something. It's like a dark blue, almost black base with very fine blue pearly microshimmer. I like that the blue is very cool-toned, no hint of navy or green in it. The finish is slightly matte and I like the  matte base with shimmer kind…Read more
Quick Tutorial : Olive and Gold Eye Look

Quick Tutorial : Olive and Gold Eye Look

Hey, I was going to do a full tutorial like I usually do, but my camera ran out of battery and I was too lazy... oops... So I thought I'd so a quick review. It's a really simple look, but I've used colours I don't wear often. I was experimenting! Olive and gold is a combination that looks gorgeous against deeper skintones. I was quite in the mood for a dramatic look! I usually don't use so much of liner. Hope you like it! :)   What to Use 1. A neutral olive…Read more
Mac Eye Shadow in Swimming

Mac Eye Shadow in Swimming

Swimming is part of Mac's permanent collection of eye shadows. It's a grassy green with tiny gold shimmer. A lot of the shades online show a very bright yellowish green but in reality it's more muted and mossy. It isn't a very bright in your face green, so it's easier to work with. It looks beautiful when used with with violets and darker colours. The color pay off is really good. It applies really well with a brush on the lid. When swatched on the hand, it doesn't show up with the same…Read more

Mac Paint Pot in Rubenesque

Mac's Paint Pot are one of the must haves when it comes to make up. You just need which which suits you best. Rubenesque isn't a colour that looks good on me as it is. But works really well as a primer and base eye shadow. It's a peachy gold colour in the bottle. It actually looks more like gold shimmer with a light pink tint when blended. The consistency is like a thin cream eye shadow. It stays on really long, 8 hours or longer. Eye shadows look really great on top…Read more

Mac Coppering Eye Shadow

I'm back with a make up review! Mac's Coppering eye shadow is one of its veluxe pearl finishes and a beautiful orange copper colour. The pigmentation is excellent and one of the best in Mac eye shadows. The microshimmer is very finely milled and there's no fallout once it's applied. It blends really well and it can be used for so many different looks, not just nude-bronze ones. While it looks good on all skintones, I feel it suits deeper skintones. It can look too orange on paler skintones if you're attempting a nude…Read more

Mac Atlantic Blue Eye Shadow

Atlantic blue is hands down one of the best Mac eye shadows. Its a bright ultramarine blue. The colour payoff is really good and it lasts really long. This would look so amazing on bright eye looks. I bought this in just the refill pan and made a palette with bright colours. I'll be review the rest soon as well.   Photos and swatches below!           one swipe on left, over primer on right Read more

Mac Big Bounce Shadow in Black Diamond

Mac's Big Bounce shadows are limited edition from the Flighty Collection and I grabbed Black Diamond at Heathrow. At first I thought this would be a glossy eye shadow. It's consistency is quite different from paint pots. It's more gel-like than creamy, although you wouldn't define it as one. I'd say it were a thick gloss with microshimmer that dries to a powdery finish. It doesn't appear completely matte when it dries, but not glossy either. This creases very easily so using just this on the lid is pointless. You need to set…Read more
