Hey, I was going to do a full tutorial like I usually do, but my camera ran out of battery and I was too lazy… oops…
So I thought I’d so a quick review. It’s a really simple look, but I’ve used colours I don’t wear often. I was experimenting! Olive and gold is a combination that looks gorgeous against deeper skintones. I was quite in the mood for a dramatic look! I usually don’t use so much of liner.
Hope you like it!
What to Use
1. A neutral olive green shadow. I used Mac Swimming. Yes, I know it isn’t olive green, but I made it work.
2. A bright gold eye shadow like Mac Amber Lights.
3. A dark green eye shadow like Inglot 414. I...

1. Rebecca Minkoff : Mini M.A.C : Almond
Good leather, very wearable. I’ve been wanting this bag for the longest time.
2. Soap and Glory : The Righteous Butter
I’ve read really good reviews about this. And now that’s its available in India, I really want it!
3. Mac : Mineralize Lipstick : Style Surge
It’s the perfect colour for summer.
4. Pipa Bella : Pastel bib necklace
It’s such a good statement piece to have. I don’t really have any pastel necklaces.
5. Caudalie : Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum
I’ve been reading up stuff and I feel like I need a hydrating serum for my skin. This might just be...

This is a post about how excitement induced by the sight of glitter, can overcome logic and reason. You’ll have to see the photos to know what I mean.
I first came across the Superglass collection on Temptalia’s site. And it was like love at first sight. I remembered seeing these on StrawberryNet and so I lurched for them! It was on discount, I took it as a sign from the universe and bought it promptly in the shades Fab Frenzy and Totally Bang!
Now that the story’s ended, let me rave about this lip gloss a little more.
This is not the best lip gloss in terms of consistency and there are some parts of the finish that I do not like. But, I haven’t come across...

This is a really casual chic outfit I love wearing if I’ve heading out for a movie or a casual date. It’s simple and light for summers.
Top : Miss Selfridge | Jeans : Miss Selfridge | Cardigan : Miss Selfridge | Clutch : Forever New | Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Necklace : Fab Alley | Bracelets : Fab Alley and Westside
Lips : Mac Super Glass Totally Bang | Nails : Illamasqua Phallic | Toes : Zoya Alegra
1. Monochrome can at times feel too simple. Add more depth by using pieces with different textures throughout the outfit.
2. Adding a little bit of colour with accessories does help! I chose the floral clutch as an ode to...

I have a lot of old favourites this month and a couple of new ones as well. Some of the products are ones I use every week and I somehow always overlooked them for these posts. So let’s get started!
01. Nail Polish : Illamasqua : Phallic
Phallic is such a beautiful deep shimmery blue. You could say it’s the perfect midnight blue. I will gush more about this in a another dedicated post, but I was wearing this a lot this month. I really loved the quality as well.
02. Nail Polish : Illamasqua : Viridian
I bought this and Phallic at the same time. I’m in love with this as well. It looks amazing on nails. I was pretty much...

Hello kittens! I was visiting the Mac store for what seemed like the n-th time!! I was hoping they had Crosswires in stock (which they still don’t). Oh well, I’ll try again soon. Anywho, I went in to buy bright lipsticks and came out with Fast Play instead. I have to say, it was better use of my money because this is a lipstick I wore everyday for quite a while.
Fast Play has the honour of falling into the “office appropriate” category!
This is an amplified creme lipstick which means it’s thick and creamy but feels very light weight on the lips. It’s also very moisturising, your lips don’t feel dry at all. I love the formula of this. It can overtime...

I have really really deepset eyes and so I generally like to wear eye shadows that make my eye area brighter! For the past few months, this has been my go-to look for any occasion. It’s really easy to do and goes with pretty much everything as well. Hope you like it!
What You'll Need
1. Eye primer like Mac Prep+Prime in Medium
2. Rose Gold eye shadow like Urban Decay Toasted
3. Matte medium or neutral brown eye shadow like Urban Decay Buck
4. Darker brown eye shadow like Urban Decay Hustle

For the longest time in the past year, I’ve been wanting a plain and simple burgundy dress. And I finally found one! To give the outfit more character, I added a statement necklace and neutral colours so that the colour could be loud.
Dress : Spring Break | Blazer : Mango | Bag : Mango | Shoes : H&M | Belt : Thrifted
Necklace : Accessorize | Bracelets : ASOS and gifted | Ring : Miss Selfridge
Lips : Mac Fast Play | Nails : Illamasqua Viridian
1. An ensemble can look unfinished no matter how gorgeous the dress is if you don’t pair the right accessories. So choose based on your comfort level.

The studio sculpt concealer was the first Mac concealer I ever purchased and I’ve used it a lot!
Before I start the review, I should mention a bit about where I need to conceal. I have different levels of discolouration on the sides of my nose (near the tear duct) and a bit under the eye. The one on my nose is a much darker colour than the rest of my skin and so concealing is really a 2-step (sometimes 3) process for me. This concealer in particular I use for the darker one. I then usually layer on a concealer that is of my skintone to make it even and as flawless as possible.
So, the Studio Sculpt range from Mac is a medium to heavy coverage concealer. This is cream concealer and...

Trax is one of Mac’s unique eye shadows. I’m sure Urban Decay has something comparable but I’m in love with this colour and the sheen.
Trax is a yellow based medium purple but with gold microshimmer. The shimmer is a bit chunkier than usual and not so subtle when you use it. It gives a lovely duochrome sort of effect when you wear it on lids. Part purple, part gold and part browny purple.
It goes on the lid very smoothly. However, this isn’t the most pigmented shade. I think it works far better when you use can eye base or primer underneath. When compared to other good Mac eyeshadows, pigmentation is where this falls short.
The colour blends well. You can use this...

Mac’s eye shadows are some of the best and this one is one of my most used eye shadows as well.
Woodwinked (such an adorable name) is a medium brown with gold microshimmer. The microshimmer is finely milled and the eye shadow is very smooth to apply. This colour is great for crease and well as an overall lid colour if you are going for natural or bronzey looks. When you see it against the light, the gold sheen is really strong but indoors it will appear true to its brown shade.
This is a very easy colour to blend, it’s a good neutralizer if you are using bolder colours like olive greens, teals, purples or deep pinks. For Indian festive looks, it’s a great colour to use as...

Mac’s Prep+Prime Eye was the first primer I ever bought. Seeing the state of coloured eye shadows on my very pigmented eye lids made me run for the hills! I stopped till I spotted Mac store and a primer!
That aside, Mac’s Prep+Prime range is a collection of handy products like primers, powders and concealers. The eye primer comes in three shades – light, medium and medium dark. I don’t think medium dark was available when I bought this, so I go medium instead!
The colour, to give you a reference is similar to Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. It’s a warmer light beige colour. It looks very light on my lids but since you are adding eye shadow over it, it...

So I’m back with makeup reviews for the weekend! Today I’ll be reviewing Mac’s Blankety. It’s a lipstick that’s very popular as a nude and being an amplified cream lipstick, it’s super moisturizing and comfortable to wear.
So last year I was going through a nude lip phase which is when I came across Blankety and purchased it. Now I know for my skintone, the swatches can look a bit scary, when I never put it on so heavily when I do use it. I generally pat it on my lip and that gives me a good nude lip. But I thought I should swatch it with the full intensity for you guys.
Blankety (such a cozy name!) is a muted browny pink. It looks very warm in the tube...

So my birthday was on the 4th this month!! It was just a busy and hectic birthday and it’s already been a smashing month. But here’s some of the stuff I bought/got gifted for my birthday.
L-R | Mac Blush : Well Dressed | Revlon Eyeshadow Palette : Blissful Girl | Mac Blush : Peaches | Mac Superglass : Totally Bang! | Carmex Lip Blam : Cherry | Mac Superglass : Fab Frenzy
After my last haul, I haven’t been buying much. So it was nice to splurge a bit for my birthday! I’m 24 now… *sigh*. Not the happiest of feelings. I don’t feel 24 at all! I wonder if all birthdays hence forth will be like...

December was a month for Mac products! I had an early birthday haul and found a few awesome new products!
01. Perfume : Narciso Rodriguez : For her (edt)
This was on my wishlist and I found a lucky discount and decided to buy it! I love the scent and lingers on all day.
02. Lipstick : Maybelline : Colorsensation Moisture Extreme : Brick Rose
This is one of the best reds to wear for the fall and winter. Very appropriate for red shy girls like me.
03. Lipstick : Mac : Fast Play
This is my favourite everyday lipstick. It’s darker than your usual MLBB shade but it suits me really well.
04. Blush : Mac ...
