Resort 2015 : Part Two

Resort 2015 : Part Two

The resort collections are pouring in! Here are a few more edited down versions of the collections themselves. You can view the previous post on Resort 2015 here. Missoni It's more than your average "active wear" collection. The Missoni print definitely enhances the appeal. With light knits and lurex, the collection features more comfortable clothing in bright pastel shades. One of the later looks with the indigo blue gown is stunning; perfection in simplicity. I also really like the colourful leopard print. DKNY Preppy and functional. A large portion of this vast collection…Read more
Fall 2014 RTW : Naeem Khan, Wes Gordon and Marc by Marc Jacobs

Fall 2014 RTW : Naeem Khan, Wes Gordon and Marc by Marc Jacobs

Naeem Khan's collection is fit for Beyonce and just so gorgeous! Also reviewing, fall collections by Wes Gordon and Marc Jacobs for hisĀ "less expensive" line.     Naeem Khan It felt very art deco in the beginning with the gold and black. That flowing gown in antique gold is gorgeous. The animal prints were done tastefully as well. I loved the slinky gowns with sequins in stripes, the taupe lilac one in particular is stunning! Then came out the fiery reds and the large florals, it's a very glamorous collection, perfect for a…Read more

Spring 2014 RTW : Sachin + Babi, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Elie Tahari

Spring 2014 RTW at New York Fashion Week : Sachin + Babi, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Elie Tahari   Sachin + Babi I always love Sachin+Babi collections for how forward and wearable they are. This one is no exception. The laser cut patterns give a lovely texture to the pieces. The suede jacket and embellished ones are also very beautiful.   Marc by Marc Jacobs Marc by Marc Jacobs, the slightly more afforable of the two lines is always a collection that's worthy of standing alone. I love the various prints used…Read more
Fashion 2013 RTW : Reem Acra, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch

Fashion 2013 RTW : Reem Acra, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch

Reem Acra Inspired by Japanese embroidery, Reem Acra's collection fits well into fall but also ties in what the designer does best. The opening cocktail dress with the bright red embroidery is gorgeous. The cocktail dresses are a smash but you are left breathless with you see the sheer beaded gowns. They catch your eye and anyone with a soft spot for sparkly things (like me) is instantly happy! The finale gowns with the large tulle are gorgeous as well.   Marc by Marc Jacobs The collection feels very wearable and rather simple…Read more

Spring 2013 RTW : Marc by Marc Jacobs

What a collection! I love it! The ethnic and fun. I simple love the scarves! I love the bright colour and scull prints. I love how wearable this collection is. The mix in prints; checks and floral is a nice touch. I love the pink finale dress and the purple jacket. This collection has a really fresh look, one much welcomed after the slightly disappointing fall collection.                                                    …Read more

Resort 2013 : Marc by Marc Jacobs

Marc by Marc Jacobs features a lot more activewear and casual looks. The wide leg trousers, mid-length skirts, stripes and cape bear some resembling elements with the Marc Jacobs collection. This features t-shirts with Marc Jacobs's self portrait, cardigans and knitwear, leather ensembles. I love the black and white tote with pink kisses. Also the printed jumpsuit at the very end. I like all the warm coloursĀ in it.                         Image Credit : Style.com | Entire CollectionRead more
Fall 2012 RTW : Marc by Marc Jacobs

Fall 2012 RTW : Marc by Marc Jacobs

Such a contrast from the Marc Jacobs show. But one thing seemed in line; rich fabrics and metallics. I absolutely loved all the blue metallic pieces. It reminds me of Essie's Aruba Blue, slightly more purple though. The opening dress had a noise pattern in bold contrast colours, gave the collection a edgy vibe from the beginning. Perhaps this collection will fare better than the heavily critiqued Marc Jacobs collection. Personally, I think the latter was more interesting to look at. But one thing is common, the mix of textures and patterns. Plaid…Read more
