Spring 2015 RTW : Milan Fashion Week : Part One

Milan Fashion Week houses so many big names, it's a delight to watch the runway shows. I very much liked Gucci's show. I'm not a 100% certain if skorts are involved but I love the sheer little dresses with embellishment and the sleek coats. I loved the whimsy aspect of Alberta Ferretti's show with the sheer layers and floral applique, it's not very unique but I'm still very much hung up on that style. Emporio Armani has blues in every possible colour but the separates were second to none. I always have this…Read more

Resort 2015 : Part Two

The resort collections are pouring in! Here are a few more edited down versions of the collections themselves. You can view the previous post on Resort 2015 here. Missoni It's more than your average "active wear" collection. The Missoni print definitely enhances the appeal. With light knits and lurex, the collection features more comfortable clothing in bright pastel shades. One of the later looks with the indigo blue gown is stunning; perfection in simplicity. Fall 2014 RTW : Max Mara, Fendi and Just Cavalli

Love these fall collections from Milan Fashion Week, Max Mara in particular. Also reviewing, Fendi and Just Cavalli.   Max Mara It's THE collection for "proper" winterwear. There's wearable oversize and classic fabrics and colours in modern cuts. I also like the more fitted pieces like the olive blazer and grey tweed coat. You also have tweed in the form of a puffer jacket which is fresh. Fendi It's hard to pick one trend here, I like the prints, it's very modern. The more classic pieces with the zipper details feel very nuanced…Read more

Spring 2014 RTW : Max Mara, Fendi and Just Cavalli

Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Max Mara, Fendi and Just Cavalli These three collections together project interesting personalities.   Max Mara Mac Mara's collection felt a bit more suited for the colder months and it's clientele. It's minimalistic but very comfortable at the same time. I don't find the silhouettes particularly appealing, but the bright colours and sheer dresses look very interesting.   Fendi Lagerfeld said this collection was inspired by 'Informatics', I'd say more like circuitry. What I liked best were the ombre sheer layers, looks very futuristic. The…Read more
