It’s a fitting end to Milan Fashion Week with Dsquared², Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana with their gorgeous collections.
It’s theatrical and fantastic! The opening look of a patient being accompanied by nurses is extravagant. The hospital shackle like bracelets on the knees and hands while being very trendy, are obvious. I love the green gown and the cape with feathers, like an evil doctor of sorts. It’s fun and beautiful at the same time. Can’t ask for more, can...
Love the Salvatore Ferragamo collection; also reviewed are Missoni and Trussardi from Milan Fashion Week.
The zig zag can make this collection stand out from a crowd and this time it’s a colourful play of colours and oversize outerwear. I’m not too enthralled by the collection but this collection scores high on the wearability scale, I do like the darker muted warm colours.
It’s a very sleek and modern collection. I like the leather piping on the flowing cuts, it...
Hope you’re all having a nice weekend! Fall collections from Emilio Pucci, Luisa Beccaria and Sportmax! All from Milan Fashion Week.
It’s hard to pinpoint a look or trend here, there’s such so much to look at. The leather leathers, the print ones, the knit jumpers, ponchos and leather boots! Where so I start? It was mix of north and south with a Scandinavian influence over the knits and the Mediterranean for the lighter ones. I’m just floored by that flowing yellow gown and khaki one donned by Joan Smalls, it’s...
Incredible collections from Roberto Cavalli, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta, all from Milan Fashion Week. Roberto Cavalli’s in particular is amazing.
It’s very ladylike, this collection. With just dresses and all in a similar silhouette, it’s been given more depth with the use of patterns in the form of lines, curves and puzzle like arrangements. It’s very wearable, even for workwear. There’s a black and white dress with looks so light, it’s clinched at the waist and looks incredible. The light grey and beige dress with the leather...
Here are three execllent fall collections from Milan Fashion Week; Etro, Versace and Marni! Etro is really iconic!
I seem to perfer collections drawn on culture (when done appropriatelt ofcourse). The tops, long flowing dresses with a myriad of prints and embroidery. It’s a muted and warm collection, makes to think of a sunny place.
With a bias cut mastered, this collection keeps the Versace moto...
More fall madness from Milan Fashion Week, here are collections from Blumarine, Emporio Armani and Antonio Marras!
I love the kimono-esque clothes, that gold and black fabric looks so rich. The cape witht he gown is also very impressive. Overall, there are many likeable pieces like the layered mini skirts and lace dresses with the slight ruffle at the...
Love these fall collections from Milan Fashion Week, Max Mara in particular. Also reviewing, Fendi and Just Cavalli.
It’s THE collection for “proper” winterwear. There’s wearable oversize and classic fabrics and colours in modern cuts. I also like the more fitted pieces like the olive blazer and grey tweed coat. You also have tweed in the form of a puffer jacket which is fresh.
It’s hard to pick one trend...
These are some very strong collections from Prada and Moschino. Also reviewing Costume National from Milan Fashion Week.
It’s Prada taking inspiration from art yet again and it’s beautiful. You can see the difference in the feminine sleek clothing and the masculine oversized one layered over it. Eventually it breaks through and merges together to form something very beautiful. I really like the sheer dresses with the...
I thought I’d get started on collections from Milan Fashion Week starting with Gucci, Alberta Ferretti and Ports 1961!
My jaw dropped when I saw this, it’s so basic on the outside but just the finesse is so stunning. I love the use of muted pastels, the leather which looks so luxe and structured. Every look is perfection. I really like the coats and that yellow leather...
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo and Emilio Pucci
There was a new direction for the staple Missoni stripes. This time they were more subtle in the silhouette of the birds and waves, the necklines and in the arrangement of colours. I love the first skirt with the slit and the print.
I’m not particularly fond of python prints (fake or real), or any snake print for that matter. It’s 100% a result of my Ophidiophobia. That said, I do like the asymmetric pleats on one side. I also like the beige leather top.
This is such a fierce and detailed collection, you...
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Giorgio Armani, Blumarine and Gianfranco Ferre
This post contains Giorgio Armani. Although it’s edited, this post will be very image heavy. No mercy for your bandwidth.
The same train of thought from the Emporio show seemed to continue here as well. I love the floaty abstract print dresses. The separates in this collection with the shimmer metallic effect looked amazing. Ultramarine blues and hot pink make a great palette! The decorative floral suits and the beaded blazer look incredibly detailed and artistic. In short, the collection left you spoilt with choices.
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week: Moschino, Marni and Dolce & Gabbana
These fashion posts may not be your cup of tea. But if I told you there is a teddy bear outfit, would that peek your interest?
Over the top is an understatement. The dramatics aside, the clothes are very chic and on trend. I love the red floral shorts. Of course everyone needs a croissant necklace and a teddy bear collar with a matching cap.
I love the two-tone prints used in this collection. The separates have a more wow factor with the split colours. However, the couture like embellishments and sequins and appliques are just gorgeous. It looks like...
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli and Jil Sander
I’ll be going through the last few collections of Milan Fashion Week. It’s going to be epic!
I’m not sure if I really like this. I like the play with pleats but it just look too crafty! Even so, I can appreciate the dismantled processor parts. No? I’ll be calling them that anyway.
Omg this collection is so beautiful! It has that 20′s glam to it with the loose fit and the hem length. I love the muted colours too. Such a different look from the Just Cavalli collection. I love the ombre blush toned gown...
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Emporio Armani, Etro and Versace
If I had to describe these three collections in one word each, they would be dreamy, prints!!! and sexy.
94 looks is an enormous collection! I tried my best to edit it down to 35, so this most will be very image heavy! I liked the feminine side that was shown in this collection. The stockings, satin, duochrome materials. It all has a very whimsical feel to it. We get a hint of the pyjama collection again and a lot of separates with that loose...
Spring 2014 RTW at Milan Fashion Week : Costume National, Prada, Ports 1961
Prada had one of the most compelling and artistic collections. in comparison, the others seemed more tame.
This collection had a lot of play on proportions and deconstructing class silhouettes and reimagining them. Those who love edgy minimalism will love this collection. The bright yellow pieces are some of the most stunning ones.
