Anytime I hit Wednesday on the calender, I start praying for the days to go faster so that the weekend will come sooner! Well, I’ve been doing that and testing out some old polishes from my stash for reviews! My dust bin is a mess of cotton balls!
Nails Inc Belgrave Place is a really pretty blurple which was a launchpad for my mania with blue and purple nail polishes. It’s incredibly hard to describe the exact tone. It’s more violet than blue for sure and in light it will seem strongly like one but there are times when it’s that indigo shade as well.
The consistency of this is very thin but it is gel like. I think the formula is very similar to Colorbar Apple...

I’m so glad it’s the weekend!! I’m working on Saturdays as well and I miss that extra holiday. :/
But there’s always blogging and my readers to look forward to on the weekends!
Today I’m reviewing a really pretty polish for summers, China Glaze High Hopes. It’s from their Up and Away collection. I had bought this along with Lemon Fizz. I really need to wear this more often now!
I really love the colour. This is what I call a true coral. But for the most part, it’s a coral that veers more towards pink rather than orange. I think it’s a shade that will look good against all skintones as well. It’s bright and eye catching, but not...

This is a really casual chic outfit I love wearing if I’ve heading out for a movie or a casual date. It’s simple and light for summers.
Top : Miss Selfridge | Jeans : Miss Selfridge | Cardigan : Miss Selfridge | Clutch : Forever New | Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Necklace : Fab Alley | Bracelets : Fab Alley and Westside
Lips : Mac Super Glass Totally Bang | Nails : Illamasqua Phallic | Toes : Zoya Alegra
1. Monochrome can at times feel too simple. Add more depth by using pieces with different textures throughout the outfit.
2. Adding a little bit of colour with accessories does help! I chose the floral clutch as an ode to...

I have a lot of old favourites this month and a couple of new ones as well. Some of the products are ones I use every week and I somehow always overlooked them for these posts. So let’s get started!
01. Nail Polish : Illamasqua : Phallic
Phallic is such a beautiful deep shimmery blue. You could say it’s the perfect midnight blue. I will gush more about this in a another dedicated post, but I was wearing this a lot this month. I really loved the quality as well.
02. Nail Polish : Illamasqua : Viridian
I bought this and Phallic at the same time. I’m in love with this as well. It looks amazing on nails. I was pretty much...

Hello darlings! In the month of March I decided to give Vellvette a try and went ahead with the 3-month prepaid scheme.
For those who don’t know, Vellvette is a beauty box service in India which is a monthly subscription. You get a box of beauty, skin, hair related goodies for a very reasonable Rs. 399. Essentially it’s similar to GlossyBox or BirchBox.
I received my April box last week and thought I’d post the march one as well.
April 2013 Vellvette Box
01. Figs & Rogue : Aloe and Mint Balm (Full Size)
This smells a lot like Badger Balm. I think this is something I’d use more on my feet, the scent isn’t very appealing to me for use on rest of the...

Today, I’ll be sharing with you one of my treasure trove purchases! You see, for the vast majority of my life I’ve been a person who only wore silver or black nail polish. No, I wasn’t a goth but I did like my black polish and clung to it with my dear life!
Now I was very intrigued by Zoya as I had just heard a lot about the brand and was on a major hauling spree (bad!). I saw this particular one and it just called out to me! It’s such a pretty bright blue! Robyn also happens to be my very first blue nail polish!
I had never tried Zoya before and I was very nervous about how it would turn out. The formulation is excellent! No streaking, it spreads evenly. It’s...

When it comes to Colorbar nail polishes, you sometimes find a few duds but the ones with a lot of shimmer are certainly not one of them!
Crystal Calm is really hard to describe mainly because it doesn’t fall under gold or silver. It’s definitely somewhere in between. I’d say it’s a pale gold with dense silver microshimmer. It looks really gorgeous against any skintone and I’m really loving it. This colour is also great for festive wear or night outs when you want more bling.
It has a foil like effect and very high shine to it because the shimmer is so fine and dense. I love the finish and it reflects so much light that there’s a sparkle to it.
This lasted...

For the longest time in the past year, I’ve been wanting a plain and simple burgundy dress. And I finally found one! To give the outfit more character, I added a statement necklace and neutral colours so that the colour could be loud.
Dress : Spring Break | Blazer : Mango | Bag : Mango | Shoes : H&M | Belt : Thrifted
Necklace : Accessorize | Bracelets : ASOS and gifted | Ring : Miss Selfridge
Lips : Mac Fast Play | Nails : Illamasqua Viridian
1. An ensemble can look unfinished no matter how gorgeous the dress is if you don’t pair the right accessories. So choose based on your comfort level.

Essie makes some of the best polishes especially when it comes to creamy finishes. I was on the hunt for a perfect lilac nail polish and it came to a spot when I spotted this one!
Essie Lilacism is that perfect lilac which, as the name suggests, isn’t too pink nor too blue.
The formula is great, it glides on easily. It does not apply streakily or form bubbles in any way. The consistency is very creamy but not too thick or runny.
I did find that this isn’t last on me as long as the other Essie polishes I’ve tried. It stayed on well for about 4 days and the tipwear was more frequent that usual. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t as good as I’ve come to expect...

I rarely go for very high end nail polishes. I’m quite happy in my China Glaze, OPI, Zoya circle. But when I saw the Nars Orgasm nail polish shade, I knew I hadn’t seen this shade anywhere and I desperately wanted it!
The colour as I said, has incredible depth and is very pretty indeed. It’s a soft peachy pink with gold microshimmer and sheen. The shimmer isn’t dense which gives it the delicate gold sheen sort of look. The polish itself its sheer so you can add one coat for just a subtle pink and gold look. If you add more, you get an opaque finish with a lovely peachy coral shade.
I love staring at this for the shimmer. If you don’t already know, I cannot...

I was looking for volumizing shampoos and to my delight I was happy to find the Kerastase range at Purplle.com. I though I’d review this site as well!
What I Hauled
OPI : Nail Polish : Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ (burgundy shade)
Bath and Body Works : Body Lotion : Into The Wild
Kerastase : Shampoo : Bain Volumactive
Purplle.com
They have a very large product range and a number of brands from low cost to high end. I’ve mentioned a couple of brands that standout in the Checklist below. It’s an all-round good site to buy make up, skincare and hair products.
I don’t find the design of the site particularly appealing. I’m also quite annoyed with the...

Purple and blue are one of my favourite colours and I can never stop myself from these shades even if I have too many.
I was gifted this Chambor nail polish in Amethyst Metal and it’s a gorgeous one! The colour is a metallic purple veering more towards a pinky violet. It has very dense silver microshimmer that gives it the metallic look. It’s a universally flattering shade and looks great for day or night. Plus, I like the name Amethyst Metal. I like it when brands name the products something that gives a good idea of what the shade might be.
The shade looks a lot brighter in the sun than it does indoors. It appears a darker purple when you are indoors but when there’s...

This month I actually have a few favourites from December too because I’ve been using these products non stop!

I’ve been using this as my daily face moisturizer, I love it. I’ve never used a cream-gel formation before.
02. Perfume : BVLGARI : Pour Femme
This is my everyday perfume now. I love the scent!
03. Powder : Givenchy : Prisme Again Visage Compact Powder Quartet : Happy Sun
When I’m too lazy for foundation, this is my go to product. It gives a nice even look. I carry this with me everywhere!

No matter not often you might wear it, or not, everyone needs a perfect red nail polish. When I bought this, my first thought was “I’m never going to wear this on my nails!! But it’s so pretty!! I need one!!”. Ofcourse, that notion didn’t last long. I wear red on my nails now and it’s safe to say that I’m out of the nude nail closet. And this one is my first red nail polish.
Zoya’s Kristin is a gorgeous red and you can’t quite place the kind of red it falls under. When you see the bottle, it appears as a deeper red. When you put it on, it has a pink undertone to it. But it certainly is a blue based red. So, in a gist, I’d...

I’m so into glitter polishes at the moment! When I got the Nails Inc 3D glitter polish, I was elated!
It’s one of the first chunky glitter polishes I’ve had and the quality is great. Maida Vale is aglitter polish with a clear base. It has a nice mix of light blue, lilac and silver glitter. The silver ones are larger and more prominent. Overall it appears as a silver chunky glitter with a subtle lilac sheen. Another note, the silver is not holographic. It’s just plain old silver glitter.
As with all glitter polishes, it’s a pain to apply and remove. You’d typically need 3-4 coats for a near opaque finish. The glitter is placed evenly while applying...
