Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe Nail Polish

Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe Nail Polish

If I had to pick just one kind of makeup out of all to live with, I'd be nail polish. It's my first love and the fact that pretty much any colour will do is what makes it so special. I don't consider myself to be one with the best nails, I spend very little time grooming them. But I do love nail polish, always have. This particular one I've wanted for a very very long time. It was always on my wishlist and I can't tell you how excited I was when I…Read more
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Winter Wonder

Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Winter Wonder

Winter is coming! The one good thing about Pune is the weather. If you're someone who moves from Mumbai to Pune, it's the first thing you appreciate. I like that I can actually wear scarves and fluffy sweaters! Moving on the same theme is this next nail polish from Sinful Colors, aptly named Winter Wonder. Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Winter Wonder is a really nice holiday shimmer polish. It's a dark steel gray, almost dark blue base with a ton of blue, yellow, green and red shimmer. The shimmer highlighted depends on the lightning though…Read more
Butter London Nail Polish in Rosie Lee

Butter London Nail Polish in Rosie Lee

Okay. Stop reading this, scroll down and look at the pictures, then come back up. Amazing right? It's just so SO darn pretty! My love for Butter London polishes grew exponentially after applying this polish. Rosie Lee is a glitter polish in a deep rose coppery gold colour and metallic. The glitter is small in size and very dense in a clear base. One layer is sheer but you get opaque coverage with 2-3 coats. The layers are thin in consistency so they also dry quickly. This is how all glitter polishes should…Read more
August 2014 Favourites

August 2014 Favourites

It's that time of the month to share my favourites! I have a few unusual ones here, because I can't really bring myself to fully review a hand wash and a hand sanitizer. Let's get cracking!       01. Eye Cream : Clinique : All About Eyes Rich After my trip in June, my eye area was in serious trouble. It was extremely dry and I thought it might be best to start using an eye cream. Now, this is mainly for hydrating the area. Other concerns like dark circles ( mine…Read more
China Glaze Frostbite Nail Polish

China Glaze Frostbite Nail Polish

It's the kind of colour that makes your heart skip a beat, shines in your eyes because it's so bright and pretty much blinds everyone else. China Glaze Frostbite is a really bright cobalt blue. The name frostbite for me indicates a icy white frosty kind of shade. But this one will do as well! It's like the poster colour blue you get in bottles with a pearlescent effect. The shimmer is a lighter blue which looks really amazing in direct light. The shimmer is not quite as complex as something like Chanel…Read more
Butter London Nail Polish in Toff

Butter London Nail Polish in Toff

A while back I got my hands on a bunch of Butter London nail polishes. They look stunning and so are the formulas. Today I'm reviewing Butter London Toff which is a creme deep plumy brown. There is some dustiness to the shade which gives it a really sophisticated look. I really love the shade; it's also a darker office appropriate neutral. The quality is amazing as well. The creme polish is opaque in one coat, though you might prefer 2 coats depending on how big your nail bed is. The consistency is…Read more
Zoya Trixie Nail Polish

Zoya Trixie Nail Polish

My love for my Zoyas is pretty well documented here, today I'm reviewing a brilliant shade called Trixie. Most of favorite Zoya polishes are either creme or dense microshimmers. This one clearly falls in the later and oh boy, it gives beautiful metallic foil like effect which is very reflective. As you might have guessed, it's a silver microshimmer polish. I also like there's no other tone to it like yellow or blue, it's straight up bright silver. The base is actually a bit sheer with very very dense microshimmer. Hence, you need…Read more
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Gilded

Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Gilded

Time for another nail polish review! I really like collecting unique nail polishes, this one really caught my eye when I was going through ebay. Sinful Colors is a brand that makes very very affordable polish at $1.99. Their range is huge, competing with OPI and China Glaze; you can also find a lot of dupes! Despite the price, they are free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP which is another win! Going back to the review, here's the shade Gilded. So, it has red and gold glittery bits in a clear but slightly milky…Read more
Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania in Dazzling Diva, Red Carpet and Starry Night

Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania in Dazzling Diva, Red Carpet and Starry Night

So if you've been reading the blogs, everyone's going crazy over the new Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania nail polishes! They might just be the best thing launched in the new year so far! I may be a budding lipstick addict but I'm still a nail polish addict at heart. Add glitter into the mix and I'm floored. Ever since the textured nail polishes were launched, all the expensive ones like OPI Liquid Sand, Zoya Pixie Sand just aren't very easily available in India. But the Colorshow ones are amazing quality and the…Read more
Haul : Japan and Hong Kong Airport

Haul : Japan and Hong Kong Airport

There's a bit of guilt over this haul but I'm trying to push that aside as I write this! So, last month I went on a trip to Japan and China. I did a bit of shopping at Hong Kong airport and more drugstore shopping in Japan. Shiseido has multiple brands under the umbrella and I really wanted to buy them there. A bit of a note about where I shopped in Japan if you're interested. I was at Fort Venus ( in Odaiba) which was next to my hotel. I discovered they…Read more
