On one of my starwberryNet hauls, I picked up the Nars blush Lovejoy. It was colour I didn’t have and I was anxious to see how it would turn out.
I love blushes that have microshimmer in them, ones with a nice sheen. Matte blushes (many of them) look quite powdery on me and ones with sheen I can get away with a nice subtle colour.
Lovejoy is brick red but still orange can of colour. Another way of describing it would be red brown but with fine gold microshimmer. It casts a really nice and subtle gold sheen. The colour shows up on the skin as a deeper pink but on paler skintones it would look much warmer.
The blush is really pigmented. I have a tendency to gravitate towards sheer...

I rarely go for very high end nail polishes. I’m quite happy in my China Glaze, OPI, Zoya circle. But when I saw the Nars Orgasm nail polish shade, I knew I hadn’t seen this shade anywhere and I desperately wanted it!
The colour as I said, has incredible depth and is very pretty indeed. It’s a soft peachy pink with gold microshimmer and sheen. The shimmer isn’t dense which gives it the delicate gold sheen sort of look. The polish itself its sheer so you can add one coat for just a subtle pink and gold look. If you add more, you get an opaque finish with a lovely peachy coral shade.
I love staring at this for the shimmer. If you don’t already know, I cannot...

It’s been a brilliant year for me. I started working, missed my student days dearly but decided to bring the fun at my workplace to compensate for that!
Starting this blog was a decision I was terrified of but I’m happy I took the leap. It’s something I do because it makes me happy and it’s very fulfilling. Throughout the year I made it a point to review the best and favourites more often. Hence you will find reviews here as well!
So here are the best of make up in 2012!
Ahem… and the categories are….
Blush
Nars Douceur – Review
Bronzer
Clarins Mosaique Bronzer – Review
Concealer
MAC Select Moisture Cover Concealer in NW35 –...

Plum is the colour of the season for me. I’m looking for a good plum polish as well!
01. Vero Moda : Luliana Sequin Top
I’m looking for a full sequin top. black is too common and I’m not willing to venture too far from my comfort zone with a full on blingy one. This colour seems perfect.
02. Nars : Tinted Moisturiser in St. Mortiz
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this. I already have a couple to use so I won’t be buying this anytime soon.
03. Miss Selfridge : Plum Lace Babydoll dress
Such a gorgeous dress! I like that it’s not fully in lace, makes a nice change.
04. Origins : Make a Difference Plus +...

This post is quite late but it’s time for the October favourites! This time it’s a mix of some things I’ve been using for months and by beloved lip butters.
01. Foundation : Dior : Nude in 040 Honey
The pump is really messy to work with and the foundation is the perfect if you want sheer coverage.
02. Brush : Sigma : Kabuki bursh
Fluffy brush! Very smooth and soft; I use it to set the powder.
03. Lip Gloss : Revlon : Colourburst lip gloss in Sunset
This sheer lip gloss looks amazing by itself. It’s got a lot of microshimmer and it just makes your lips look warmer. I love it!
04. Blush : Nars : Douceur
It’s my go to...

It’s July already! Sorry for being so behind on posting this. I’ve been trying to stick to my posting schedule but they are all getting delayed.
I’m trying to rectify that from the coming week. You might sense a theme here. Everything looks peachy pink or a variation it, doesn’t it? I didn’t realize that until I saw this picture.
So anyway, here are my June favourites!
01. Body Lotion : Bath & Body Works : White Citrus
I love the smell of this. Very fresh and citrus like. The consistency of these isn’t as thick as the triple moisture ones.
02. Powder : Rimmel : Match Perfection Ultra Creamy Compact Powder : Soft...

It’s getting more humid in Pune and at times like these, I like to apply as minimal make up as I can. Blush and eye makeup comes to the rescue here!
Here’s my wishlist for the month.
01. Topshop : Studded multi colour tunic cover up
I love the gradient colours here. I’m very careful with the studded trend as I don’t want to go overboard with it. This one looks effortless and soft.
02. Just Acces : Wild choker in gunmetal
As opposed to silver or gold, I prefer gunmetal, charcoal and rose gold. I think these chokers really add a lot to the outfit. Just Acces is a brand available at asos. I don’t like the very thick ones. This one seems just...

Highlighters are a wonderful thing! They make you shiny and it looks so pretty when your face catches the light and something glimmers! I cannot praise Nars Illuminator enough!! It’s the perfect highlighter or blush as you choose to use it.
Orgasm is a beautiful peachy pink highlighter. When you put this on, it feels so cool to touch and so smooth. It brings a nice gold sheen. I don’t always wear blush, but I love highlighters! It’s sheer and blends quite easily. There is one snag though. This doesn’t fade well. After 4-5 hours, it sort of dries and becomes patchy and eventually fades away. Not a nice transition to see. To counter this, you should apply in very...

It’s the time of the month! I mean, to err… talk about my favourites! The products mentioned below are not only the most used this month but also what I would reach out for the most on occasion. Onto the list! But a pretty picture first.
;
01. Concealer : MAC : Moisture Select Concealer : NW35
I have panda eyes. Although, that doesn’t make me look cute! To be very honest, if I completely cover them with heavy concealer, it just looks really unnatural. I think that to look a bit natural, some unevenness should be there, and not a plain mannequin. Just a tinsy bit. Moisture Select is what I started using this month. It’s not creamy and yet it stays on so well. I lasts...

I love watching and reading about these kinds of lists. you get to see so many options and how people use make up ‘in real life’.
I don’t carry too much. And I don’t carry a blush or concealer!. I generally use these before I leave. So, this is more of a ‘touch up’ make up bag.
01. Make Up Bag – My mom gave me this bag. I think she got it from Jet Airways. But wherever it came from, it looks good. The material isn’t flimsy and pouch is slim and bends quite well. It’s a bag that can hold less or a lot and still fit well in my purse. Also, the length of this bags fits my powder brush well.
02. Bobbi Brown Mascara – Its...

I love Nars blushes! I wish I had more of them! If its Nars, I would even be willing to go bold with Exhibit! But for now, I will be reviewing the muted blush Douceur.
It’s peachy pink with brown undertones. I think it would look good on all skintones! The blush isn’t too pigmented but its buildable. This is my go to blush for office when I don’t want too much makeup. It applies quite sheer. It’s also a good choice for contouring when you need that slight definition but not a bronzer.
It has very subtle shimmer that doesn’t really show up on the face much. Nars is obviously quite expensive, I think its worth investing in a blush if you find that you will use it...
