This look mainly revolves around a neat Garnet eye shadow. Garnet also happens to be my birthstone! I loved the idea of a dark vampy eye look. It’s something I’ve never done before but the colour is just too gorgeous to pass up! Hope you like it!
What You'll Need
1. Eye primer like Mac Prep+Prime in Medium 2. Purple or Mauve eye shadow like Mac Trax 3. Garnet shade eye shadow like L’oreal Infallible in Burning Black 4. Matte black eye shadow like Mac Carbon 5. Highlighter eye shadow like Nyx Pureskin
Step by Step
1. Apply moisturizer to the lid and then a primer. This will help the eyeshadow stay longer and the pay...

This comes late on the schedule but these are products I reached out for last month. I’m in love with OPI Parlez Vous. It’s such a beautiful colour!
01. Dry Shampoo : Lush : No Drought
It’s getting warmer and hotter and I so need this on second day hair. It smells lovely and I’m really loving the powder application more than sprays.
02. Lipstick : Revlon : Colorburst in Peach
It’s a light coral colour. It’s looks great. I wish it was a bit more moisturizing though.
03. Eyeshadow : NYX : Taupe
Staple base eye shadow for me. Can’t ever go wrong with this.
04. Eyeshadow : Mac :...

May was all about wearing coral-ey colours and light makeup. Wearing too much makeup in this heat is unbearable!!
You don’t necessarily want things that stay on all day. I do wash my face from time to time. But I want products that fade well and don’t leave a mess.
On to this month’s favourites!
01. Perfume : Bvlgari : Pour Femme
This was in last month’s favourites too but I love it’s floral scent. Sadly, this bottle is empty now and I’ll be moving on to another mini perfume.
02. Face Mist : The Body Shop : Vitamin E Energizing Face Spritz
It’s a really good face mist. It makes the skin really cool and gives it a fresh feeling. I...

It’s for the April favourites! I’ve started using tinted moisturizers even more, since its summer. But other than that there are a few products I discovered this month that I LOVE!! Onto the list then!
01. Dry Shampoo : Toni & Guy : Refreshing Dry Shampoo
I very curious to dry this out. I don’t want to shampoo my hair everyday and this makes second day hair look a lot better. I don’t think this is the best result but it does soak up some of the greasiness.
02. Tinted Moisturizer : Stila : Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer : 01 Dark
With summer on full swing, foundation just isn’t a good match for everyday wear. Stila’s tinted moisturizer...

These are my favourite of the lot I hauled! Peach Bronze is a proper bronze with gold shimmer. Golden Dune is a dirty yellow/copper with gold shimmer. Both look so gorgeous and flattering. They are especially good if you are working with festive looks. Pair them with a plum, olive green or teal colour and you have a bright festive look!
Quality wise both are quite similar. They go on very smoothly and are SO pigmented. There is a bit of fall out if you wear these without a primer. I felt that the consistency of both together made them more wearable. The fall out is more apparent when its been worn for a long time. They last fairly well. Over 8 hours so its good for occasions. They...

Today, I’ll review the NYX eye shadows Taupe and True Taupe! Siblings in the name but the shades are quite different. Taupe is more yellow while True taupe has more grey and red in it.
I have to disclose that I bought these because I like to make my eyelids look even and smooth. These too colours work well together to make it even and add some difference as well. My swatches appear too washed out on my skin so I will re-take the swatches soon and re upload them so that you can see the colour better.
The best way to describe these two shades is that they come before and after Urban Decay’s Buck. Taupe on the yellow side and True Taupe on the more brown and grey side.
The...

I had recently hauled a couple neutral eye shadows from Nyx. Pure Skin was one of them. It’s a light peachy/cream colour with gold shimmer. It’s more yellow and its quite sheer. It would work well as a highlight for brow bones or to blend in different colours if you want shimmer.
I’m not too happy with my purchase. I feel that it doesn’t stay on too long. It fades after 3-4 hours which is far too less from what I expect. Also, the fallout is quite a lot. The shimmer does spread EVERYWHERE. For the money spend, although NYX isn’t high end, you can still get better eye shadows in similar colours. But, I will swatch these anyway.
Here it...

I was looking for bronzey neutral shades that I didn’t have. I also wanted a blue based red lipstick and Ruby Woo seems so out of reach. I decided to buy Revlon’s True Red.
I decided to give MedPlusBeauty a try. I’ll start by saying that I’m pleased with the haul and the website. But the way they handle delivery is atrocious! And I probably won’t buy again from MedPlus because of it. More on the story below, I’ll start with the goodies!
01. NYX – Single Eyeshadow – Taupe
02. NYX – Single Eyeshadow – True Taupe
03. NYX – Single Eyeshadow – Pure Skin
04. NYX – Single Eyeshadow – Peachy Bronze
