Hello all! Today, I’m reviewing the Match Perfection Ultra Creamy Compact Powder from Rimmel in the shade Soft Beige. I bought this in combination with the Match Perfection Foundation. They compliment in each other and the shade is a good enough match for me as well.
There aren’t too many shades to choose from and people with darker skintones might unfortunately, have trouble finding a match. The closest shade I got is Soft Beige. It isn’t an exact match but it blends well into my skin and looks even.
What I love most about this powder, is the texture. The powder isn’t rough or chalky, it feels very smooth and buttery. It similar to Mac Foundation Fix Plus powders....

Hello peeps! Hope you are all having a good week. I’m glad it’s Wednesday, which means Friday isn’t far behind!
So many months ago, I was thinking of using a hair serum just to see if it made it difference. To be honest it didn’t but I found other uses for this.
John Frieda’s Frizz – Ease Super Strength Hair Serum was one I googled and I found decent reviews for it. Sadly, this just didn’t work for me as a serum.
You apply this to damp or wet hair. You only need a coin size amount of the gel, just rub it in your palms and spread it across your hair. Now if you use this on your roots, you are bound to get greasy weighted down hair, especially if...

On this site I’ve confessed my love for Bath and Body Works many times. I’ve been using their body lotions for more than a year now and every time I like trying out a different scent. Why have so many, it’s incredibly hard to choose!
Well, today I’m reviewing the Twilight Woods Body Lotion.
At first I thought the scent would be woody and mild but I was surprised to get a very wild forest kind of scent. What on earth is wild forest you ask? Sweet, floral, fruity… put yourself in Avatar’s Pandora and imagine what it might feel like…
Something of the sort.
The quality of the body lotion is so good. It gets absorbed quickly and doesn’t leave any...

I’m so glad it’s the weekend!! I’m working on Saturdays as well and I miss that extra holiday. :/
But there’s always blogging and my readers to look forward to on the weekends!
Today I’m reviewing a really pretty polish for summers, China Glaze High Hopes. It’s from their Up and Away collection. I had bought this along with Lemon Fizz. I really need to wear this more often now!
I really love the colour. This is what I call a true coral. But for the most part, it’s a coral that veers more towards pink rather than orange. I think it’s a shade that will look good against all skintones as well. It’s bright and eye catching, but not...

This is a post about how excitement induced by the sight of glitter, can overcome logic and reason. You’ll have to see the photos to know what I mean.
I first came across the Superglass collection on Temptalia’s site. And it was like love at first sight. I remembered seeing these on StrawberryNet and so I lurched for them! It was on discount, I took it as a sign from the universe and bought it promptly in the shades Fab Frenzy and Totally Bang!
Now that the story’s ended, let me rave about this lip gloss a little more.
This is not the best lip gloss in terms of consistency and there are some parts of the finish that I do not like. But, I haven’t come across...

This was a very impulsive purchase for me. But it smells so amazing, I couldn’t not get it! I went into Parcos because I wanted to take a look at Rimmel, but I ended up buying only this.
Narciso Rodriguez For Her comes in two types. The light pink bottle is is the Eau de Parfum, which is the concentrated one. I bought the Eau the Toilette because it’s still very strong and it was cheaper.
How do I describe this scent… it’s definitely a scent for night time and special occasions. It has that floral, honey and slightly woody mix without being too much of either. I feel it’s very well balanced that way.
It has top notes of honey, heart notes of amber and base...

Hey guys! I had picked up this lip gloss a few months ago. Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Gloss range is the best even it comes to quality and value for money. I also have the shades Papaya and Rose Gold. Sunset Peach also lives up to the hype!
Sunset Peach in the tube is a light peach with gold and silver shimmer. It’s definitely a sheer lip gloss, not as pigmented as others in the range. It doesn’t transfer too much colour on the lips. For very pigmented lips, unless you just want that light glossy effect, this won’t really impart much colour. Hence this is best used layered over a lipstick if you want to add more shimmer or warm up the colour.
I love using this over nude...

Chambor’s Stay-On Waterproof Eyeliner was one I received from a Blisscovered Box a very long time ago. It’s one of my favourite navy eyeliners!
It’s your average pencil eyeliner. The pigmentation is good but you don’t get the complete deal with one stroke, you do need to build it up a bit. I didn’t find this to be the softest eyeliner I’ve used but it is still smooth and you can put it on with relative ease without needing to tug or pull. I however, didn’t find it as smooth to glide on as some of the others I’ve used.
The colour is a true navy blue and really lovely. It gives a nice change of colour without being too in your face. It looks...

I have really really dry skin. Throughout winter, this product saved my skin from flaking.
Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense is a white gel/cream kind of moisturiser. The consistency is really interesting. It looks like cream but feels like a gel. It feels really cool against the skin. It isn’t too thick but I would say medium. It gets absorbed fairly quickly and you don’t need a large amount. If you apply too much at can look a bit oily till it gets fully absorbed.
In the end, your face feels nice and dewy if you don’t put too much. However, this is a cream I absolutely cannot bear to wear in summers because it ends up being too much except maybe on days when...

Hello minxes! I was on the hunt for a spray that would give me more volume near my roots, to make it look like I have more hair… Well, I stumbled upon this brand called Bumble and Bumble. My initial reaction was “omg-cute-name!! must-have-it!!”. When the excitement died down, I decided to google their products and the thickening hairspray was the best fit for what I wanted.
Bumble and Bumble’s Thickening hairspray is a light which gives different effects depending on your hair type. But in the general sense, it gives more volume at the roots and keeps the fly aways at bay. I have very fine hair and for me this works really well. I’ll go through exactly how I...

Hello kittens! I was visiting the Mac store for what seemed like the n-th time!! I was hoping they had Crosswires in stock (which they still don’t). Oh well, I’ll try again soon. Anywho, I went in to buy bright lipsticks and came out with Fast Play instead. I have to say, it was better use of my money because this is a lipstick I wore everyday for quite a while.
Fast Play has the honour of falling into the “office appropriate” category!
This is an amplified creme lipstick which means it’s thick and creamy but feels very light weight on the lips. It’s also very moisturising, your lips don’t feel dry at all. I love the formula of this. It can overtime...

Today, I’ll be sharing with you one of my treasure trove purchases! You see, for the vast majority of my life I’ve been a person who only wore silver or black nail polish. No, I wasn’t a goth but I did like my black polish and clung to it with my dear life!
Now I was very intrigued by Zoya as I had just heard a lot about the brand and was on a major hauling spree (bad!). I saw this particular one and it just called out to me! It’s such a pretty bright blue! Robyn also happens to be my very first blue nail polish!
I had never tried Zoya before and I was very nervous about how it would turn out. The formulation is excellent! No streaking, it spreads evenly. It’s...

This winter I had more than one best friend and it was The Body Shop Hemp Lip Conditioner! I actually had two of these. One was in purse which was with me all the time I was out and one was at home.
What I like about this lip balm is that it’s thick and feels like you have petroleum jelly on you without looking gloopy or too shiny. It’s not a thin consistency like the lip butters but thicker. It’s incredibly moisturizing and keeps the dryness away! If you get really dry and irritated lips (especially the edges) like I do, the minute you out this on, you get instant relief!
I will say however, this is not a complete solution to dryness. If you have chapped lips, it will...

This isn’t a happy review. When I bought this shampoo I desperately looked for a shampoo with a green apple/ citrus scent. I walked in Dorabjee’s and this the first one I spotted, smelt it and I was sold. This is a probably a good lesson and how to not buy a product.
I lot of the problems that I had with this I didn’t fully realise until I stopped using it and suddenly they were all gone. So bear with me, this might be a bit too rambly.
The Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing shampoo is from it’s cleaning range. This does contain SLS and I think that was part of the problem.
The consistency of this is like a gel. It’s a translucent green shampoo. For me,...

Hello folks! It just struck me that some of my most used products rarely make it to my favourites list; like the makeup remover, topcoat etc. Need to remember that for next month!
I will be running out of this soon and I thought I’d better write a review on this soon! I took the photos long back so that you can see the product.
H2o is brand that seems to have flooded all the online shopping sites and this was my first purchase from the brand. The Dual Action eye makeup remover is like any other oil and water remover. I had previously used a similar one from No.7 and found it to be very efficient.
This one is great if you have sensitive eyes. It’s very gentle and you don’t...
