Burberry Brit Perfume

Summer is here! And I hate it already! It's so dry, I feel like I'm melting everytime I step out in the sun. An essential for this summer is definitely a light, long staying perfume! Burberry Brit (for women) is one of my favourite perfumes for daywear. The fragrance is like a mix of vanilla, citrus and floral scents. It has a long staying power. It lasts throughout the working day but it's not too strong an odour either. Won't make people hate the smell, but it leaves a distinct scent which is…Read more

Benefit Magic Ink Liquid Eyeliner

I generally find that Benefit is a very overpriced brand with products you can find dupes for. But the liquid liner is a different story (for me). I have a very unsteady hand and using liquid liners scares me. The line becomes crooked, it bleeds, its isn't too black etc etc. But what I really liked about Benefit's magic ink liner is that it stayed in place, it lasted long, it looked resonably wet and didn't dry up into pieces. Along with that, I love the packaging and the long slim handle. It…Read more

Nars Douceur Blush

I love Nars blushes! I wish I had more of them! If its Nars, I would even be willing to go bold with Exhibit! But for now, I will be reviewing the muted blush Douceur. It's peachy pink with brown undertones. I think it would look good on all skintones! The blush isn't too pigmented but its buildable. This is my go to blush for office when I don't want too much makeup. It applies quite sheer. It's also a good choice for contouring when you need that slight definition but not a…Read more

Essie Aruba Blue

I'm a nail polish junkie. Every weekend, I have my sacred "me time" routine of watching a movie or something and painting my nails. This week, I'm wearing Essie's Aruba Blue on my nails. Its a gorgeous deep blue with greenish navy undertones. It also has blue microshimmer. Its not royal blue or electric blue like China Glaze Frostbite; more towards navy. Its quite opaque. But you do need 2 coats. It's has a nice sheen to it, even without a topcoat. Adding one just makes it super glossy. It lasts for atleast…Read more

CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion

Covergirl LashBlastFusion was one of the first mascaras I had used. I'm not aware if its available in other colours but mine is in black. I love the shape, at the time when it came out, it was a nice change to see. It looks so pretty and I just love that hot purple! The mascara is thick and creamy in black. The wand is large with soft rubber bristles. It goes on very smoothly and very few clumps. I really don't like clumpy mascaras which make it too obvious, I like the…Read more

Kindle Fire Review

Sometimes luck strikes and you are gifted with a free Kindle Fire! After using it for a month I have two perspectives for this review. One is purely based on the technological aspect and the other is its benefit in a market like India. When I first held it I was 'squeeeeeing' with excitement which was probably heightened by the fact that I was getting it for free!                         Looks : I think it looks fab. It doesn't look like cheap plastic.…Read more
Mac Viva Glam II Lipstick

Mac Viva Glam II Lipstick

I got this lipstick when I was in my pale lips phase. Mac Viva Glam II is a satin finish and its goes on so smooth and feels so creamy! It's not my favourite shade but I use this when I want even bare lips and a bright gloss over it to stand out. It's part of the permanent line I believe. Its a lovely ash pink or beige pink. It has very subtle shimmer that is barely noticeable. I would say it's similar to Blankety. I wore this for 10 hours and…Read more
John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo and Conditioner

John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo and Conditioner

I'd been dying to try the John Frieda Frizz Ease range. I finally managed to get my hands on it a few months ago. To review it properly, I will need to explain what my hair is like. Needless to say but the review and results would be different if your hair is drastically different to mine. I have dry hair. Really dry hair but oily roots. In winters, static can make my hair stand up 90 degrees (happens when I'm taking off woollen jumpers). My hair is naturally wavy and fine. I…Read more
The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Scrub

The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Scrub

The Body Shop has its hits and misses when it comes to products. The Cocoa Butter Body Scrub is definitely a keeper. It was one of my first Body Shop purchases and it has a permanent place in my routine. I use it once every other week and its helped exfoliate my very dry and flaky skin. The consistency of the cream is soft and buttery. The cream leaves the skin feeling moisturised and soft, not oily at all.┬áThe particles are coarse and not too harsh. I guess it depends on how strongly…Read more
