Spring 2014 RTW at New York Fashion Week : Kate Spade New York, Rachel Roy and Jason Wu There's a lot of colour and glamour in store with these collections!   Kate Spade New York There's always colour and a bit of playfulness with Kate Spade. The beautiful coral coat with a large bow, the heart shaped neckline cut-out, a baby pink babydoll and the pretty summer prints are so integral to the Kate Spade loving girl. I am a bit weirded out with the intense white eye liner, but other than that,…Read more

Spring 2013 RTW : Cynthia Rowley

Cynthis Rowley's collection has all the quirks and vision you expect from her.  The exaggerated hair is a bit distracting but when you see the silhouettes in detail, they are quite lovely for a woman. The splatter print jumpsuit with the wide pants is one of the best in the collection. You also have body hugging latex like material in gold and silver tones. I'm not too keen on those.   Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

Spring 2013 RTW : Calvin Klein Collection

The Calvin Klein collection has its classy and sophisticated look and a bit of spice as well. The cutouts are meant to be provocative but still subdued. I love the dress satin dress with the strapless sweetheart neckline and black piping. There is a lot of play with volume as well. The pleating around the hips looks heavy and very interesting. I'mjust not sure how comfortable it is!   Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

Spring 2013 RTW : Ralph Lauren

Matadors! Spain! Ralph Lauren was clearly inspired by the Mediterranean culture but the French berets were a bit confusing in the mix and were thart art scarves. In some ways the collection is simple and powerful in its design. I love the green wide pants and the printed separates.  The purple suit was certainly one of the most striking pieces on display. The finale red gowns and the embroidered black jacket is stunning.   Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

The Proenza Schouler collection is very athletic and edgy. You have python prints mixed with mesh and leather. Bright neons with dark leather and oversize silhouettes. You always find surprises with Proenza Schouler.                                             Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

Spring 2013 RTW : Vivienne Tam

Vivienne Tam has a collection inspired by Chinese elements. It's interpreted in very geometric ways. If you look at the finale dress it almost looks 3D. I lovtithe way it's been done. The sheer triangle shapes look great with the sheer fabric underneath.I love the jade green dress and the metallic cooper one.                                           Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

Spring 2013 RTW : Anna Sui

Anna Sui's collection has a brilliant mix of edgy and punk vibes. I love the prints and exaggerated yet realistic to pull of shapes. The opening jumpsuit looks so good and is styled really well. Sui is a genius with prints and this collection as well has her excellent taste in mixing prints together. You also have lace and floral prints in the mix together. The leopard print dresses also look good.     Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more

Spring 2013 RTW : Marchesa

Unmistakably the collection is inspired by Indian attire and a bit of Bollywood as well. The classic red wedding sari is reinterpreted with a draped silhouette. The one shoulder of the sari appears in many of the gowns.  The embellished pieces also had a distinct Indian asthetic to them. But perhaps the most impressive were the gowns with tiers of threads. I love the way they move. The red gown with the tiers is exquisite.                                    …Read more
