Spring 2015 RTW : New York Fashion Week : Part Three

So I took a bit of a break from the fashion posts, but they're here to stay! New York Fashion Week is long gone and while a lot of collections failed to make a mark, The Row just floored everyone.  Here are some of the collections. Alice + Olivia is a collection I always look forward to. I love the contemporary and influence of retro styles. The prints and laces dresses look amazing. Reem Acra's gowns are stunning with the metallic sheer gowns and embellishments. Zac Posen had a relatively modest collection with…Read more

Fall 2014 RTW : Zac Posen, Donna Karan and Tory Burch

This season Zac Posen's collection is really stunning. More fall collections from New York Fashion Week as well including Donna Karan and Tory Burch.   Zac Posen It was a very focused collection and very edited for Posen. It included incredible draping but not over done. The day tweed suits and dresses looked very tailored and fitted, it was a reprisal in a sense. The gowns all that volume look fit for the Met Gala. The coral gown with the draping is just so gorgeous, completely blown away by this collection.   Donna…Read more

Spring 2014 RTW : Thakoon, Diane von Furstenberg and Zac Posen

Spring 2014 RTW at New York Fashion Week : Thakoon, Diane von Furstenberg and Zac Posen   Thakoon Thakoon's collection had that understated glam, that definitely came from the accessorising. The strand of pearls here and there, really elevated the look. The clothes are simple but that have that Parisian chicness to it. I like the bright pink red pleated dress though, it's really unique.   Diane von Furstenberg I'd say it was a pretty straight forward DvF collection, we got everything we wanted. You had sleek wearable clothes that can easily transform…Read more

Spring 2013 RTW : Zac Posen

Zac Posen's collection had classic looks and a very vintage feel to it. I love the sheer prints and some of the techniques used are very modern. I love the navy and beige flower gown with the sharp folds on the neck. The vampy red satin dress is a stunner.  I ought to edit the collection to save bandwidth, but really, I just couldn't! I love the  cream and navy peplum with tulle on the bodice. Such a beautiful look. The minty green and navy blue gowns with the bow across the waist…Read more

Spring 2013 RTW : Z Spoke by Zac Posen

Z Spoke by Zac Posen is his low-end line and it's still fabulous! The look is quite retro with jewel tones, subtle peplums and ruffles. As the team describes it, "it's a snow white pin up essentially". I like the the looks are so strong and yet more girly and fun. I love the green maxi and the coral satin strapless gown. The lavender print dress is so summery and girly, it's really pretty.                           Image Credit | Complete CollectionRead more
