I was quite stumped when I saw L’oreal Infaillible eye shadows at first. I think the timing of the product release was quite apt. People were drooling over Giorgio Armani’s eyes to kill and there was nothing remotely similar in the drugstore market. Oh gee, look at me, discussing the politics of cosmetics!
So onto the review. While the green and blue shades look really pretty, I know I won’t use them much. Burning Black, unlike the name is a gorgeous garnet shade. It’s maroon or a darker berry shade. The microshimmer is a nice mix of red and pink. It looks so beautiful. A wine shade smoke eye is a very unique look you can create with this shade and more complex berry shade looks as well.
The packaging is nice and sturdy. It’s a loose powder packed well together. It also comes with a stopper to keep the powder packed in. It’s quite pigmented but you get a richer look with a primer or when applied with a damp brush. The powder stays in place quite well, the fallout is very less and the shimmer doesn’t spread.
The staying power is quite good, almost 7-8 hours. But without a primer it does start to fade. The price is around Rs.500 which is pretty good for the quality!
