So this will be the final post on Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2013 but there will be more couture with the Delhi Couture Week! There’s Adarh Gill, Suneet Verma and Ashima Leena.
You could say the styling seemed a bit retro but the clothes definitely weren’t and I saw a disconnect. What started out with intricate black and gold pieces, ventured into jewel tones and corals. I love the details and the simple silhouettes though.
I read that this was Game of Thrones meeting Rome, I’m not sure if it’s a factual statement about the inspiration or an observation. Even so, I can easily see any of the characters transform into these. What I like best is that there is a richness to all the pieces without being too loud and over the top. The pastel lehengas are just too gorgeous for words.
This show started of with very very werable pieces. I love the mint and coral combinations. But it got bolder and with mix of prints and draping all held together with gold detailing. It was unconventional and refreshing to see.
